Build quality is good (aluminum pole), lightweight, floats, provides good propulsion even with decent technique, and value makes this a great paddle for your consideration. If you're looking for a touring paddles, I would recommend you spend a little more for something lighter, but for general use even as a primary paddle, this is more than sufficient for your needs.Overall, I would recommend this product.

This paddle is perfect. I have an Old Town Angler kayak and it is wider than usual. This paddle is perfect and it matches the color tones I have going already.

I had a softer paddle (whisper) before and it was hard to paddle in anything other than a completely calm lake. I use this for kayaking in the ocean and the st John's river. These are durable and easy to adjust. They are long, which is perfect for long arms and kayaks that are wider.
