Perfect natural touch with evergreen branches and red berries. I spread them out around tables and room for a wintery motif.

I ordered 2 boxes of the birch wood rounds and they measured from 1.5" to 3". They were the perfect size for my faux stacked log look for my fireplace. (I hot glued them onto plywood.) 98% of the rounds were 1/2' thick. (I did cut a holly bush small log 1" deep to get a look of in-and-out stacking - the small whiter color rounds in the picture. The quality of birch wood I ordered was excellent! They are light-weight and I feel all sizes, even the 3" round would make a nice tree ornament. Some of the outer birch bark was peeling; however, no big deal and it does happen with the natural bark of birch wood.

Overall, not a bad product if you are looking for larger pieces. When I received the box, it was bigger than I anticipated. Most pieces were a lot bigger than described, hence the big box. The picture on Amazon made the pieces appear to be small, stubby disks. I'd say about 80% of the pieces measured bigger than 2.5 inches (about 3 inches) any way you put the ruler on them. I adjusted how I used them and was able to make them work. The quality is okay, they are kiln dried according to the paper in the box. A couple of days after opening the box, some of them started to crack slightly in the middle but are still usable.

I, too, made a fireplace insert! I ordered two boxes and just had a tiny bit left over so it was the perfect amount. Great quality. Well cut and even with several diameters to really fill a space in. Wonderful.

I love these birch slices. They are perfect for ornaments. I make Christmas ornaments that I Woodburn and paint. These are the perfect size and the white birch bark edging is perfect. People love the ornaments and the birch slices. Very rustic...

I bought these to make my own ornaments, drilled my own holes in them. They are thick and a bit heavy, and although some of the bark peels, I found podging with a paint brush under any loose bark solved the problem. The cut is smooth. I would definitely buy these again!
