Great unit so far!
A great unit, follow the directions and it works as advertised. I've been using exclusively non pressurized kegs with the co2 kit and have had no issues, currently on my 3rd one. Keep the pressure at the recommended settings (.4-.5 for most beers) and the beer stays fresh without being foamy. The first beer out of each keg is a little foamy but not too bad and after that it's good to go. Temps stay right at 30deg below ambient, so with my house at 75deg in summer the beer stays 45deg (hold temp down button until it beeps to get the temp). I think it would keep it cooler if there were a gasket on the door, so I will add one - only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Beer after a week tastes the same as the first, which was the goal. Each keg takes one co2 cartridge and one had just enough pressure left to clean the lines, the other didn't. Bells Oberon and Breckenridge summer bright were very good, Bitburger was just ok. I ordered another tap so I can adapt one to fit growlers so I can increase my variety more and decrease my commitment to a six pack worth instead of a 12 pack as there are a ton of places that fill growers locally (at least 70-80 different beers available) vs. only half a dozen different 5 liters available around here. It's great to have beer on tap at the house without having to commit to 60 (1/6 keg) of the same beer in a month.

Small but good
Only used it on mini kegs so far, but works good. Cool the kegs down first or they may never get cold. It has a setting for as cold as 38 degrees F, but at that setting the thermometer logo on the Heineken kegs still are not blue, like they should be. I haven't stuck a thermometer inside, to check the temperature, I will have to do that. It's quiet and small, I have mine on a counter top, but if you want a kegerator, this might NOT be your best choice. I got mine with the optional adapter to use other mini kegs with my own outside source of co2, but as yet I haven't tried it, so I can't speak to that. It was more of a future idea because of all the micro brewer's in my area.

Mini Kegerators filling up the trash bin!
These units are very poorly designed or made, not sure which. I've been through 2 TBC50S units in 16 months, exactly the same failure -- the unit stops keeping the beer cold. The LEDs light up, but nothing else happens. The second time around I am on the hook for the repair because, you guessed it, it is out of warranty. Stay away from these units. In two years I have had 4 units. I thought I would upgrade from the earlier design mini kegerator hoping it would be an improvement since those two units failed within a year. Now, two years to the date of getting a first mini kegerator, all four are now in the trash.

DO NOT BUY!!
Excellent design, looks nice on the counter, but the product sucks. It has foamed since day one and its not the keg. I am not sure if the beer tube is to small, or if there is just a malfunction in the one we got. Due to the warranty we decided to switch out the product with another one but if this one doesn't work I am getting my money back. Buyers beware of buying this product. I researched this one heavily and this was a top rated one. Don't do it!!! Save a little bit more money and buy a more expensive one!!!!

... bought this with the conversion kit because it seemed like a killer deal
I bought this with the conversion kit because it seemed like a killer deal. So far it's working fine, and I'm excited to have my homebrew on tap. But the conversion kit didn't include the cleaner bottle or the 12-volt plug, and the whole thing looks used. I was expecting brand new, not repackaged ("refurbished" would be a compliment).

The good: Decent for the price
The good: Decent for the price. Actually cools down a room temperature keg in a couple of hours. Easy set up except for the pressurized side. The bad: You can't seem to buy any beer tubes for it, though I suppose you could just buy 3/16 (I think) food grade tubing and put the parts back together. The adapter for unpressurized kegs (like Warfsteiner, Spaten, etc) doesn't seem to consistently work. I can get the connector down the kegs if I take a screwdriver or other object and pop the bottom of the valve on the keg down into the keg. Unfortunately, the device is too long for both Stapten and Warfsteiner (the only ones I tried). It also seems incredibly hard to find these kegs of beer, as most places are only going to carry Newcastle and Heinekin. Finally, the cleaning bottle that comes with it requires that, after filling it, you squeeze it to push water or cleaning solution down the line; but the thing isn't designed for repeated use and is eventually going to crack on me.My conclusion: Good kegerator but don't bother spending the money on the conversion kit. You might be better off getting one of the other brands, to be honest. It'll be easier to find parts, and since you're probably only going to be using Newcastle and Heinekin anyway, there's no need for the conversion kit in the first place. Provided the other brands actually keep the keg cool. Now, if you're doing home brewing or something, then this might be the thing for you. Just make sure that the keg adapter for nonpressurized kegs will fit in the keg you're using before you put your beer in that keg. In fairness, I suppose that someone could chop off about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of the adapter and get it to fit.

Doesn't work real great. Warm beer, all foam.
Couldn't keep the beer cold, even after it was completely down to the correct temperature before putting in the machine, and could not get a single glass of beer that wasn't mostly foam, no matter how it was poured or how long we let the keg settle.

Great product. I am now able to enjoy 5L kegs all the time and not take up a shelf in the kitchen fridge.
