Minn Kota1854017 Quick Release Bracket/RTA-17 White

When I opened the box and saw the size of the Quick Release, I thought, "There is no way this will hold my big Minn Kota trolling motor on this boat." However, I was pleasantly surprised! I needed to add a plate on the underside of my fiberglass to keep the nuts locked down, but the item does a tremendous job. I trailer my boat and park in a boat storage area. I can't afford to leave my $2000 Minn Kota on my boat. It only takes me 30 seconds to take it out of the bed of my truck and set it on the boat or to take it off and put it back in my truck. BTW the Minn Kota Ultra trolling motor is the most awesome trolling motor ever!

Ease of Install and Strong Hold Mount. Used for Minn Kota 112 lb thrust bow mount on Pathfinder 2200. Very sturdy and no flex at full throttle or Anchor Lock. Ease of slide to secure or release motor. Slide is capable of securing with cotter pin or weather resistant small lock, where applicable. Reasonable price and ease of replacement.

When first I bought my boat the original trolling motor was mounted directly to the deck which over the years had created biggers holes. After doing some fiberglass repair and adding additional reinforcement underneath I opted to go with this bracket.It is solid, easy as heck to install and gives that added piece of mind that I’m not going to have the same issues I had before.

These quick release brackets are awesome. We like to take our expensive trolling motors off the boat while not in use and this is super easy. Add a lock and it feels just right.

Works well but expensive for what it is. Parts are made better than the nockoffs, from what I hear. No issues with material or quality. There is a template on the inside of the box-

I just purchased the Minn Kota Terrova 24V 80 Ib trust model. I needed a way to remove my trolling motor when my boat is not parked in a highly secure place. This quick release allows me to hide my trolling motor until its time to hit the water. It's also useful when taking my boat to the shop to get it serviced. Just mount the quick release block where you would like your trolling motor to sit and install . Just a quick pin release and you can install and uninstall your trolling motor in 1 minute. This is one of the simplest yet best purchases I've made for my boat. Won't own a trolling motor without a quick release system.

I really love how easy this bracket makes taking the trolling motor on and off for storage. I also like the fact that you can lock it so it won't go missing as easy.
