Started eating this rice in Nepal and when I got home 10 years ago I have been eating this Himalayan Red rice ever since - this is not your Dad's Uncle Bens instant rice - It has a unique texture and flavor. I am glad to have found a reasonable price

I've noticed that when I rinse OTHER red rice, the rinse water become reddish & the rice itself become less red. The rinse water from THIS rice was clear & the rice stayed a luscious red. Cooks up tender & flavorful!

Great product to use by itself, for stir-fry dishes, for casseroles, an additive to homemade bread, and to keep by itself in the fridge as a quick base and additive for any meal. I will frequently combine it with wild rice to vary a recipe. Love this product!.
