This is our second one, not because the other one wore out after ten years, but because it is a kitchen tool that is needed often and is often in the dishwasher. So, our solution was to get a second one. The quality is excellent, but blade is incredibly sharp and keeps you from having to get out and wash both a spatula and a serrated knife for cutting the sandwich after being made. You can do both with this one tool.

We have another one of these which is over 20 years old. Still looks as good as the day we got it. we wanted to get our daughter some gifts for her new house, so what could be better than one of these. Perfect!

This is the most useful knife I have ever owned. I have been a homemaker for over 60 years and have tried many knives. Easy to keep sharp.

Fairly expensive but darn well worth it!

I bought this for a new home--I've had them in my kitchen arsenal for 30 years and they are the best! But, this one arrived with a cosmetic blemish. There was no way to contact the seller to arrange an exchange. This is not the quality I expect from Cutco, and I'm surprised this passed QC. The fact that I don't want to just return it and place a new order tells you how indispensable I find this tool!

My husband requested this for Christmas. It is so sturdy and though it's expensive, so far it seems worth it. I also have to compliment the seller - there was some confusion over Christmas and the order did not leave their warehouse, but the delivery date was so far out into the future that I didn't contact them until mid-January about the missing order. They profusely apologized, were honest about its whereabouts (it had not left their facility), immediately mailed it and gave me partial credit on Amazon. I appreciate honest businesses.
