Best on amazon
This pressure switch installed well and checking pressure settings , it was truly 60 psi off and 40 psi on.Factory preset was right on the money. Good quality made in Mexico. Would buy again. This switch replaced a new Merrill unit (Chinese) which I had just purchased and was junk - could not adjustand returned to vendor.

Square D Has Been Renamed.
Quality pressure switch. Don't go cheap on your pressure switch. Square D quality gives you the piece of mind that you will get years of service out of your switch.

Worked fine as direct replacement
I replaced an existing switch that had been original to my parent's house (20+ years). It was still working but getting unreliable mostly because it was short cycling due to pressure tank bladder failing (also original to the house). I ordered this 40/60 unit as a guess b/c the labeling and model number on the old one was essentially gone. I installed the new unit and appeared to work fine. First time I've worked on well components. As a suggestion to anybody doing this, check your pressure tank and the pressure gauge (I replaced that too) to ensure the cut in/out pressures are correct and everything else is working properly.I have noticed that since installing it, the contacts already have some wear on them. The one minor issue is the instruction don't indicate what factory settings are for cut in/out pressures. I can only assume that they're are 40/60 for this unit. The cut out seemed to be slightly higher than 60.

The Best Full Stop
There are so many cheaper versions out there and just like most of us, I'm always looking for a deal. I got the cheaper ones and they are junk! This one and Named Brand is really the only one you are gonna want. Besides it's what the pros use for a much better price!

READ THIS
This is the same old tried-and-true Square-D pressure-switch that has reliably trudged along, doing it's job, in millions of well-houses and basements all over the world, completely taken for granted until the water quits coming. There is absolutely no good reason for this switch to be close to the well-pump or pressure-tank; so long as it is screwed into the water system anywhere convenient, it will do it's job.Residing in a drafty poorly heated well-house, having such a tiny water-line connected to it, the presure-switch is the first component to slush-up and freeze solid, long before the larger water-lines even think about freezing. This is no longer a problem when the switch resides in a warm area.A reliable gauge should be visible in close proximity to the pressure-switch.Many times, there is nothing wrong with the switch itself, but crud has collected within the little pipe-nipple that screws into the switch and seals off the flow of water that tells the switch what to do.Instead of having to evacuate the system, add a ball-cut-off valve where the pressure-switch line connects to the system; thus, one can close the valve, screw off the switch, and clear the crud from the line; a brass-bristle shot-gun brush works good for this.Instead of hard-wiring the switch straight to the stiff solid copper wires, terminate the HOT wire coming from the breaker-box in a wall-box receptacle of the appropriate type, 220V or 110V.Using a flexible stranded cord with the appropriate MALE plug, attach it to the terminals of the switch via ring-terminals.A second flexible cord with a FEMALE plug on the switch side and a MALE plug on the well-pump side will take care of the switched side of the pressure-switch.Equipped thus, it is a simple matter to un-plug the cords, rendering the switch safe to work on, and service/adjust the switch or un-screw it from the water-line, without the hassle of un-wiring and re-wiring the stiff wires. My new switch came pre-set to 40/60 PSI.Two full turns clock-wise yielded 50/70 PSIThanks for reading.

Works as it should
Don't save $5 like I did ordering an offshore clone, get the brand name one. Works like it should, pressure rise right on the mark and fittings built like I won't have to worry about a leak for no reason.
