Good Directions 301-11 Steel Weathervane Extension Rod, 11-Inch,Black

I like the item. I thought it was made of stainless steel. It is not. I'm hoping the pai t will hold up

It's basically a threaded rod. Worked as advertised with my new cupola.

Worked as needed. If the vane sits to low it won’t get the necessary wind to give good readings.

Outstanding company. I purchased a Cupolla, Weathervane, and this extension rod from them. The quality is outstanding and each piece is beautiful. I needed to exchange the weathervane for a larger size, and they were extremely accommodating. I highly recommend Good Directions.

I got this because I wanted to have a base support and a weathervane added to the base support.This does raise the weathervane a little higher. The problem is that not all weathervane's use the standard screw-on tip that's on this adapter.I ended up drilling out the weathervane insertion hole and epoxy bonding it to the extension rod.This weathervane does work for the good direction weathervane'.. If you're getting any other model it may not work

This brass rod is beautiful Very heavy duty and should withstand the winds

This is SOLID and super-well made. It reminds me of a weapon in the game, "Clue." (Who done it?! haha) It's a solid hunk of brass and no doubt, will be an heirloom addition for your weathervane. Only problem is that it's not compatible with my Good Directions brand weather vane. Too wide at the female end, so there's about 1cm of play... Needs to be perfectly milled for my vane. This will be great if it fits your weathervane. No luck for me.

We couldn't be more HAPPY with this beautiful ornament. It's completes our home. It's very shiny, we sprayed with everbrite clear protective finish. A little pricey but will keep it from oxidation
