Q: After the first few months of using this everything started to stick. Am I doing something wrong??

I have used the silat muffin mold for years and had no sticking. I am very careful to let it cool completely before I rinse it and I use a small amount of 'watered down dish detergent' to hand wash with a soft dish washing cloth. I air dry completely and I store with my other silat liners and molds in a half sheet tray covered with a no lint tea towel.

Q: Can this be used in a steamer?

The utilization of the mold in a steamer is not directly addressed in the product information. However, what we do know is that the mold can withstand temperatures from -40 degrees F to 500 degrees F. It should be placed on a metal sheet pan while baking. It should not be placed on a direct source of heat(hot plate, flame, oven heating element, grill, radiant heat)

According to the manufacturer the non-stick nature of the pan is because it is made of silicone.
