Sphere See Me: A stunning love story that will take your breath away

This is the first novel I have read by Sparks and what I found frustrating is the fact that the blurb is misleading. The text is described as a 'love story' whose central protagonist is a 'teacher' - not the case at all. If I had read that Colin is a cage fighter and that the genre is thriller I would not have bought it. I did like the way that the chapters alternate between the two main characters' point of view, but when the crucial events from a previous case from Maria's lawyer background are recounted I did not pay a great deal of attention, not realising that this is what the plot will be based upon for the remainder of the novel. I therefore began to lose track of a number of characters related to this case and was quite relieved when I finished the novel. The latter stages of the novel seem to be full of speeding cars, gun shots, fires and explosions, and not the sort of things about which I enjoy reading.

I would go as far as saying that this is one of the best books I have ever read. I took it on holiday and read it in less than two days. I was gripped. I lent it to my mum who then read it in a day, saying it was so exciting. I have read most of Nicholas Sparks' books and this is up there with Safe Haven for me.

Another fantastic book from Nicholas Sparks! Without a doubt one of my favourite authors. This book has the romance, suspense and characters you can't help but get attached too - just like many of Nicholas' books.Fully recommend to all fans of the author and indeed all fans of the romance genre.

Really enjoyed this book. Sparks does it again.Was hooked from the beginning... I hope this is turned to a film just like most of his books.

Disappointed I'm afraid. After reading such fantastic reviews for the book, as well as really enjoying The Notebook, I'm afraid this one was just not really my thing.
