Excellent 'wee' add-on
Excellent wee add-on to one of my favourite books, Lesley Riddoch always makes very well thought out points and whilst I wouldn't agree with everything (I like my house & wouldn't swap it for a tenement flat!).I saw a review for 'Blosdom' where someone accuses the author of being blind to 'the dark side of nationalism', or words to that effect. Totally disagree with that statement, this book (& blossom itself) has NOTHING to do with stoking up prejudice - quite tbe opposite in fact. I'd guess that whoever write that didn't actually read tbe book...

Clear, powerful and convincing
What a forceful thinker and writer this is. I am devastated to find just how taken in I have been by the fear-mongers, the cynical media and the old negative climate of doom we all contribute to. Give me another crack at independence soon!

... is and in doing gives us promise of a better future for Scotland
Lesley has made it her business to get beneath the skin of the Scottish psyche and experience getting to the root causes of its ills and aspirations - she tells it how it really is and in doing gives us promise of a better future for Scotland. She is a key voice in the journey Scotalnd has undertaken to "be all it can be" realise its potential and"blossom" at last.

Disappointing and a bit "thin". I admire Lesly Riddoch but I really can't award this more than three stars. I struggled to finish it, maybe because I had previously read similar content by Iain Macwhirter which was far more informative.

excellent analysis of Scotland post #indyref
Had already read Blossom so was interested to read this update. It's a good standalone read covering the immediate aftermath of the referendum as well as a wide variety of topics such as health, land ownership, media, local government and the role of women.
