Scuddles thought of everything! You just pack your food and beverages, and you are ready for an adventure. We got this as a Christmas present. My wife and I have said, we can't wait to try it out.This is "real" quality! The food part is thick and well insulated. It has a pretty thick waterproof backed blanket. I like the way it folds with the cover and straps facing the rear, verses to the side and rolled up, that gets more in your way. If you are going to where there are picnic tables, it is detachable, so less weight. There is also an insulated detachable bottle carry, for wine, soda, etc. Nice feature. Zippers are first rate. The straps are wide so they want dig into your shoulders. They are not padded very well, so if hiking, you may want to put some cushion in between the straps and your shoulder. Nice neutral colors. Water resistant. Dishes, etc. are good quality .Can you believe they include a reusable,light plastic, washable bag to place the dirty dishes in, after you messed them up? This prevents them from getting everything else dirty. Brilliant! Very versatile for picnicking: For example, while camping; hiking; riding bikes; canoeing; riding your motorcycle(carry in the rear compartment or on your back if you like). Also of course, just a regular picnic, for the two of you or your kids(it has service for 4). As you can see, this is very versatile, seeing it opens up way more possibilities, than a traditional wicker(and others like that) picnic basket. Extra possibilities makes all the difference, and that was one of the reasons we choose this item. Also quality and the company says they will replace or refund with "no questions asked". Definitely worth 5 stars and should last for years.

I have used this so many times. It actually encouraged us to take more picnic adventures! The plates and silverware are perfect. The plastic cups are sturdy enough. Plenty of room for food for 3-4 people. The blanket has a waterproof side which is great! It's comfortable with adustable straps. Well worth the money!

I received one of these as a gift and loved the durability. It’s a bit heavy but each side item / pocket is removable so you only have to carry what you want. This year we held a raffle for our employees as a Christmas fun bonus and I put this item in. It was the second most coveted item (the first being a tv) every different age/lifestyle etc..wanted this item! Very nice quality.

This product was purchased as a wedding gift for a couple and they absolutely loved it!!! it is so unique and thoughtful. Different from other useless kitchen appliances they receive.The design in modern and stylish in comparison to the other picnic back packs. They grey color is nice and neutral, not to loud.The price is great and it does not compromise on quality. The backpack is well made and durable.Not to mention that it has 4 complete setting versus just 2. I also like the picnic mat that is included and has a waterproofed side. Works great, esp if you lay it at the beach or on wet grass, super helpful! All in all I was very impressed with this product and plan to buy a few more for other friends of mine who are couples. 2 people, 1 gift for a great price, such an amazing product. Give a different kind of gift, this back pack is sure to impress!!

As others have said, this picnic backpack offers loads of great features for the price and is well constructed. My only criticism - and it's minor and easily fixed on my end - is that the silverware sit in little loopholes in the "open" alongside plates and cups etc. This is actually very organized and convenient; I just prefer not to have silverware exposed to everything else right before I use it, so I'll probably put mine into a small plastic container or bag in that compartment after washing and prior to use.I didn't check before buying whether the silverware and plates were dishwasher proof - I'm not sure they are, so if that's important to you, check first.

Good price, excellent value. I've had similar backpacks in the past and it seems this one will hold up. I wouldn't call this "high end" (things like plastic handled silverware keep it out of that classification), but for average family use it will be great. The blanket has a handy velcro strap that keeps it folded up, making the process of loading it up nice and easy. Food capacity is good and as long as you have some common sense about how you pack it (ie, you're smart enough to carve the turkey before loading it up) I think the size of the food compartment is good. Someone else mentioned it not being waterproof, but of all the picnic packs I've owned, none of them were. Use baggies for your ice or use a cool-pack (we use one small one, which combined with the fact that the food is refrigerated beforehand does just fine).I'd buy this again. I bought it for a gift exchange game and the recipient was happy to win it. :-)

I bought this for my brother-in-law and his girlfriend for Christmas, they like to hike and do adventurous things. I own something similar and love it, because it gives us just one more reason to spend the day outside with food friends and wine! I really like the sporty design of this, it's perfect for them as they are more into hiking and hitting up the beach ( The one I own is more traditional picnic basket style). Also love that it came with a picnic blanket that has the protective vinyl so even if you sit on the damp grass, it will stay dry on your tush. Overall they said that they absolutely loved it and can't wait to put it to use. I would definitely recommend buying this as a gift, even if the gift is for yourself!
