An amazing solution to our dog's over drinking and spilling. No more wet kitchen floors!
This thing is amazing! We were having a problem with our dog drink water so quickly that she dropped most of it on the floor out of the side of her mouth. Our kitchen floor was constantly wet, and our Norwegian Elkhound drank so much water so quickly that she often ended up barfing it up!We finally got fed up and found how to solve the problem. This bowl was it.Since getting this bowl our floors have been almost completely dry. It also slows down my dog's drinking so she doesn't make herself sick from drinking so much anymore. I really wish I would have purchased this sooner. The plastic is a good quality and is really easy to clean and seems to be strong and durable. Things don't get stuck on the plastic (unlike our previous plastic bowl) and is easy to fill up. You do have to open up the floating part occasionally to clean it out, using the tool they provide, but that isn't a big deal. We do that about once every other week.Great product, will buy again!

Love...Wish it was bigger!!!! (update) 8/24/21
I originally tried to purchase XL and ended up with large. I am not sure what happened. The company seem to not sell XL any more because I keep checking website and see nothing. I bought a simple black flower stand and have raised the bowl for my large Great Danes. I put a cap full of apple cider vinegar (1 tsp) in the bowl just because my dogs are messy and backwash really bad into the bowl and it helps keep water fresh. This bowl helps them slow down and drink. I use a separate pitcher to fill it up which I think is easier and then clean it out every few days. I really like it.UPDATE: I purchased this is june and it is now august. The grey lid that you see in the picture fills up with water and its a solid piece of plastic. It is not designed to be opened so you can't open and clean it. It could make dogs sick if there is bacteria and slime building ups inside which is entirely possible if your dogs back wash like mine do. inside. If you shake it its just full of water and it leaks back into his water dish. The filter is completely irrelevant to me as I drink the same tap water my dog does so I don't see a need for any filter. I also don't see the filter really doing anything. Its more gimmick to me anyway. So now we are only using the white dish and once again back to slurping up water. Its been to long for an exchange now. I don't know if mine was defective or if they all do that? I will try to load a video for your own personal review.

Missing pieces
These are the best water bowls especially for a big dog. However I gave it 1 star because it is missing the filter.

It's WONDERFUL!!!
I usually don't fall madly in love with doggie drinking bowls but this is fabulous - I've already received the second one for the back of the house. My Lab - and I've had Labs since forever - is really a pig in Lab costume. He eats and manages to drag foody drool halfway across the kitchen and even on the walls. His water consumption is even worse - he drips water across the kitchen and wipes his mouth on anyone sitting nearby. He is a real slob.I thought that maybe - just maybe - this water bowl would help. I filled it and put it on the floor and waited. In no time, my big guy discovered it and began lapping from it with virtually no drips - well, almost no drips. We are ecstatic with a few drips instead of half a gallon dripped everywhere. What a fabulous product! Thanks to the inventor!!

Adapted to it easily
I have an 8 yr old rescue lab. We’ve only had her 3 weeks & have found her to be a very sloppy drinker (we still love her though). When I saw this bowl I thought maybe it’d solve the water all over the floor issue & the reviews were positive. I got the bowl 2 days ago & when I first showed her the bowl with water in it she growled at it :). I put some pieces of beef sticks on each corner of the dish & let her get them. I then put a piece of beef stick directly in the middle of the dish where the water is & she not only got the beef but found the water as well. She’s been drinking out of the bowl ever since & I have a dry floor. She’s happy & so am I, win/win.

Not for large dogs, no matter the volume on the tank
This product needs to be redesigned to accommodate real life for large dogs. It is most applicable for small dogs and cats. The hole in the middle of the plastic shield needs to be larger. Currently, it’s not large enough for my 6 mos old lab to access the water. His tongue can’t possibly fit through the hole. If the hole can not be expanded, then plastic shield needs more weight and/or less surface area so it will sink down further. As it stands, it has too much surface area and will not sink far enough into the water for the small dip in the center to allow water access. My lab can’t get any water without pressing his paw down on the floating “plastic shield”. This makes a much bigger mess than before. Pretty pointless.
