Hi Sal - This glove is NOT rated for Voltage or Shock. It does NOT provide any protection against electricity. Rubber gloves are required for those purposes. This glove is Arc Rated to 12 cal which is protection against an arc flash event.

What does a pack meen like a pair of gloves or more than one pair if if one pair how do you justify 40 to 50 dollars for it?

Are the finger-tips also heat resistant? i'm looking for an alternative to setwear hot hands/dirty rigger pheonix.

Yes - the palm side, including fingers, are made of goatskin leather and Kevlar. This combination offers decent heat resistance. On the EN 407 Contact Heat test it was rated at a level whereby it can withstand 482 F for 15 seconds without causing pain to the wearer. Hopefully that time and temp range will work for your needs. Are these gloves warm? Good for winter work?

They are somewhat warm but I normally use them when welding or forging. I also live in Arizona where its always hot but my hands never sweat in them so I would say they aren't insulated enough for winter work.
