improved menu coming from original gh5
a good additional to your m4/3 video cameras.

Big upgrade...in the small things
Folks have said this is a small upgrade from the original GH5...and that's true if all you're looking at are resolutions and frame rates. But there is small many small video assists that make this a much more compelling camera.First off...the video continuous autofocus (using some of Panasonics native, high-end zooms like the Pana-Leica 12-60) is incredibly, INCREDIBLY faster and more reliable.Secondly, the Linear Focus Lens Control (again, only on FW updated higher end lenses) is a game changer! The thing that consistently was the hardest thing on my GH5 or G9 was the ability to nail manual focus. The Linear Setting makes it so much easier, when paired with the higher-resolutions LCD Screen.I've already had a few successful live streams to Facebook, completely untethered, for over an hour. So that's a feature I have already found incredibly useful. And the anti-glare coating does improve the look of my photos in harsh sunlight.Oh, and back to frame-rates, I find that it now has UHD 60p with a 10-bit options means that I don't have to think about "Do I want 10-bit OR UHD?" Now I can have both! It was a factor that sometimes kept me out of 60p on my GH5.Same goes for all of their anamorphic or C4k settings. 10-bit is the new standard. So would I tell someone to find a used GH5 or buy a new GH5ii, I would totally recommend the GH5ii. Plus, firmware updates will probably trickle to this in the upcoming years, but have stopped for the GH5.So I highly recommend this over the original!

My personal favorite camera
Always wanted a gh5 growing up and after using the gh5 m2 for a while now I can say that it is a great camera. The auto focusing works very well and the image quality is great too. I like using the variable frame rate for slow motion.

Great camera, after cleaning, battery, charger contacts
I purchased a Panasonic LUMIX GH5M2, ,with the 12-60mm F2.8-4.0 Leica Lens DC-GH5M2LK here, but the battery did not last for a 15 min video, and that does not let the cam charge from USB when the battery runs out of power. I decided to clean the battery and charger contacts today, and now it is working well. I am recording a video now and surpassed 1 hour and 45 minutes. I will update my review.

Limited compatibility with Mac.
Seems like a high quality camera. However, if you wish to download your photos to a Mac, it is extremely difficult. Haven’t figured out a way to download RAW photos. So far convert them a lower quality photo, them download.Have used Nikon for decades. Should have stayed.
