RYOBI - ONE+ HP 18V Brushless Cordless 4-Mode ½ in. Impact Wrench (Tool Only) - P262

This thing will get the job done! A week ago I tried replacing a steering dampener shock on my Jeep Gladiator with conventional tools. I just couldn't do it by myself. So, I purchased the impact wrench (I have several 18V Ryobi tools and batteries), along with impact sockets and extensions. The shock replacement took every bit of 15 minutes...The repair shop quoted me $600, plus I had to purchase/provide the new shock.

This here is a great purchase. The price was a lot cheaper than buying it in a store. I have absolutely no complaints.

OK, if you are buying this, chances are you already getting into, and know what I mean about the metal O-Ring.If not, it is right near the start of the square head you put your socket on (zoom in og pic on product page to see it) to keep it from just falling off.Well, this Ryobi HP Brushless has a very strong ring, making it hard to get sockets, extensions, adapters, etc on and off. If you are pretty darn strong, you can get them on and off, or if you have older sockets etc it shouldnt be a problem.Other than that, it is very good. I have had the older model Ryobi long ago, electric ones, and air powered impact wrenches. This one, with the 6amp battery, broke a 1/2 inch bolt halfway down it when trying to get it off my vehicle (factory nerf bars). So, it is pretty darn powerful, and should work great for you doing anything, except maybe a day to day mechanic (I am not a mechanic anymore for years now, and have only used it on 3 bolts so far: 1 extra long cab bolt that did not break, and 2 cab mounting brackets for the nerf bar, and 1 of the 2 bolts broke, but I am also in snow country, so there is the rust factor on the nerf bar bolts, but it also shows that even rusted in 1/2 inch x 3 inch 19mm head bolts can be removed with this bad boy impact gun).Anyway, so far it is a keeper. The 4amp batteries tend to even out the weight distribution mostly, and the 2amp are perfect weight distribution. But who buys this intending to use 2amp batteries, and only use it a few times anyway, right? It is lighter than the old model, due to it being brushless, so there is that.Recommended !

This Ryobi 1/2" impact wrench was what I needed for project to replace an anode rod on a couple water heaters .... I have the 1/4"& 3/8" models but are not adequate to break out the 1 1/16 anode rod bolt.The 1/2" P262 was great @ 600ft/lbs break out impact force & loosened it & backed off in minutes!I was undecided in choosing the model with245 lb/ft TQ with 400 break out, or the heavy model with 700 lb/ft Tq. with 1,100 break out..... I decided to go with P262 as was in between the two but will also be adequate enough to tackle some larger projects in future requiring it's TQ & break out capacity !It feels great in hand, not too light or too heavy.... it has great features like lighting &TQ impact speed control choice settings,running on 18v Ryobi spare batteries!Amazon pricing was very reasonable for authentic Ryobi quality product !Happy Camper ! ✨👍😉

Don’t be afraid of buying this impact. I’m a mobile mechanic and have used this every day since purchasing. Dropped many times and plenty of torque. Love the automatic torque for plastic lug caps
