Wonderful for working with other scents
Whether you are making your own incense, creating magical inks, or just looking for a unique and clean smelling scent, Arabic gum is wonderful to work with. Very high quality! This product was very well sealed to keep out moisture in a reusable zip style bag which will keep your product safe from contaminants and easy to store. A+!

Perfect for DIY Frownies
After watching a video on YouTube and how to make your own Frownies, I purchased this and mix it 1:1 with water and boiled for a few minutes. I applied it to a manila envelope or butcher paper and let it dry. After dry, I added some water to it when I was ready to apply. It’s sticks much faster and - in my opinion- works much better than Frownies and is reusable as well. Easy, simple, better and much less expensive! Win, win!

good cleanse for the body
Bad thing is that it's super clumpy in my drink, but a great cleanse for the body

Easy to work with
The color is white without water, but once water is added turns brown. Not really ideal for mixing with ink as it discolored it too much

Hard NO
I was really hoping to add this as a healthy fiber to my diet for all the obvious benefits. Unfortunately, it does not blend well with anything. Kind of slimy. You basically have to hate yourself to drink the stuff.

Started making my own watercolor paints!
I've been considering creating my own watercolors from scratch for a while, and then a free workshop came up this month where I can work through the process, so I ordered this bag, figuring it'll be enough to make plenty of binder for the workshop. I had all of the other ingredients on hand except for the glycerin. I've used half a cup of this powdered gum arabic and have about 1.5 cups of binder made, and still have enough to make another batch like this--which is going to last a while, considering you start with a 1:1 ratio of binder to pigment and usually only make about a tablespoon of paint at a time.I mixed up the binder two days ago, and the gum arabic dissolved beautifully when mixed into distilled water, breaking up all but small clumps, and left sit for 24 hours. Mixing in the glycerin, honey, and clove oil was a piece of cake after that. It looks and smells amazing, and should keep for a month or more in the fridge (and some artists claim 8 months or a year, but I expect to use this up before then). The workshop that spawned this order isn't until Monday morning, but I've tested the binder by mixing up three small batches of mica pigment and glitter to make fancy sparkly watercolors intended for calligraphy with a brush. It mixed well, and all 6 half-pans so far have dried without cracking.I'll definitely be ordering more when I manage to use up this batch!
