CMP .22-Caliber Dueling Tree Steel Target

This is my third CMP TARGET System product. I have the centerfire pistol Dueling Tree and the Texas Star.This came in a very light box compared to the other two systems. Maybe it weighs 35 pounds? The Texas Star weighs 130 pounds and the other Dueling Tree is almost 60 pounds.This Rimfire dueling tree is shorter than the centerfire pistol dueling tree by 1/3. The support has a forward lean which is fine to eliminate splashback of bullet fragments.The product came fully assembled with respect to the paddles. The stand fits into a base and there are three legs.The stand is stable and well made.The targets are very durable. I put about 100 rounds onto it this afternoon. This is set up on my private range at home.For 15 yards at a 4” Target it is quite challenging. I tried shooting it at 12 yards and had no issues with splashback, and it was extremely easy to shoot. The action of the paddles is smooth.Overall I have been pleased with my different CMP targets.I highly recommend it.

i didn't open box for about month, lots of rain in Texas and didn't get a chance to shoot.Bottom was bent, no idea how this thick of steel showed up bent. need to fix because waited over a month to open box.

Great product! I just got this "tree" shot about 500 .22 rounds at it today and a hand full of .17 rounds plus some other random rounds. THIS THING ROCKS! Great fun! You could make your own if you own a welder and have any type of mechanical skills but I'm telling you this thing meets my standard of quality. Great welds and material.

I ordered this dueling tree with some Amazon gift cards I received for Christmas and I couldn't be happier! This is a high quality product. It stands about 3' high and the plates swing on a 1/2" metal shaft behind the center upright. The plates are 1/4" thick AR500 steel and a full day of shooting .22LR didn't even hurt them. All I had to do was spray some white paint on every once in a while...which is to be expected. Overall I am very happy...5 stars!

I've ordered from CMP in the past and been very happy. This time was not one of them. Perhaps I should have read the description more closely or read through the reviews better. The fit and finish are excellent quality. What I am very dissatisfied about is the fact that this thing is SHORT. I mean, come on, for what they are charging for this product, the main post could have been a bit taller. The way it currently is, I have to aim down and low if I want to hit anything because this dueling tree is so damn short. I'm gonna have to make a portable table for this thing so it can have the proper height. The other negative is that it leans forward quite a bit. I understand the companies need to want to deflect lead down and away from shooters, but it leans quite a bit. So, no, I wouldn't buy this product again. There are others out there that are just as good if not better for this kind of money. Again, CMP makes great quality products and their customer service is excellent. But this dueling tree was a major let down.

Awesome target that is fun to shoot all day. Easy to setup and very portable, fits in trunk of sonata with ease. I have already put 1000 rounds on it and it's holding up beautifully. Will buy plate rack and handgun targets next.

Super well made. Costs more than the one made by Do-All Traps, but well worth it because it's going to last me a lifetime. You get what you pay for if you buy the cheaper brand metal targets - JUNK.
