Excellent piece of kit, clamp is reasonably good, eats through 41mm x 41mm u section steel (unistrut) like butter. 10mm threaded bar is also cuts easily. Pretty clean cut, just a quick rub over with file to take of the sharp edge on the u section. threaded bar does not need a lead filed on it, nice clean cuts. I've only cut steel on mine, so I can't comment on aluminium performance (or wood).You need to wear goggles, not glasses when cutting as the 'chips' can fly up easily. No need to force the saw, as it cuts through easily on its own...I have never used a grinding disc type chop saw, but I would think this is much easier to clean up than the grinding 'dust' that gets everywhere when grinding. I would also think this is much quicker at cutting than a grinding disc type saw.

This product worked fine to begin with, but when it failed getting after sales care or finding a way to get it through Amazon is very difficult - not something I have been able to do at the time of writing.

Absolute rubbish! Firstly it comes with a French plug! Not one you can plug into a normal adaptor either. So, as I needed to use the machine on Monday, I replaced the plug with a UK one.No Earth! Surely not acceptable in Uk!Never mind, I took it to work ..... the motor sparked and stopped working within an hour of using it!Can't return it because i changed the plug. Total waste of money
