It's metal and really sturdy. It's a quality product.

It screws into the desk with eight screws (four on each side). Definitely flip the desk, mark the holes, and pre-drill. Get help, because it can easily slide until you get a few screws in. This is the best cable management tray out there.

Can this be mounted using desk clamps instead?
