The BEST
I just love this for personal use. It comes with a lifetime guarantee. Why would I spend $450 for a high end DA?

Great for the price!
DA polishers Can get pretty expensive for a good quality one but this is a great price and great quality. Gets the job done and have so far been working with no problems

Best random orbit polisher for the DIY enthusiast
I recently used the Griot's Garage 11558 G9 Orbital 2-Step Ceramic Kit on my black car, and I have to say, it’s a game changer! My vehicle has never looked this good. The G9 orbital polisher is incredibly user-friendly, making the polishing process smooth and efficient. The ergonomic design feels great in the hand, allowing for extended use without fatigue. The variable speed settings let me customize my approach for different surfaces, and the random orbital motion provides a flawless finish with minimal risk of swirl marks. The ceramic products included in the kit are top-notch. The prep and polish stages made a noticeable difference in the depth and clarity of my car's paint. The ceramic sealant added a brilliant shine and offered impressive protection. I’ve received compliments from friends and family, and I can honestly say my car has never looked so vibrant! The kit also comes with everything you need to get started, which is a huge plus. I appreciate the quality of the pads and the ease of cleanup afterward. If you want to elevate your car’s appearance and protect it at the same time, I highly recommend the Griot's Garage G9 Orbital 2-Step Ceramic Kit. It’s worth every penny and has transformed my detailing routine!

Best orbital our there!
Let's face it, anything from Griots Garage is top notch, and this orbital is no different. I had an earlier model of one of their orbitals, but I decided to upgrade to this newest model. It's much lighter, has speed adjustments on both sides, has a locking mechanism so you don't have to constantly push the trigger in, and it is also flat on the back side so you can set it down with out it rolling over and contaminating the pad. A lot of thought went into this orbital. The kit comes with all the pads you'll need too. I have a Black Equinox, and the correcting cream removed about 80% of all swirl marks! If you don't believe me, just search up the correcting cream on YouTube, there are plenty of videos about it! This is a great kit for speeding up the detailing process and getting professional results at the same time!

Great Tool with a Couple of Reservations
As the title says, this is a great tool. That doesn't mean there aren't things I dislike about it, though. The G9 has been reviewed and videoed to death, but I'll add my thoughts anyway. I'm not totally inexperienced in auto detailing, okay?First, the trigger lock. It's poorly designed and badly located on the G9. Whoever designed it should be made to go sit in a corner for a while, wearing one of those pointy hats to focus his thoughts. The trigger lock isn't large enough for really good touch control. The user has to really make an effort to engage it. It doesn't stick up enough from the tool's body to be felt really well, and it doesn't always engage on the first try. I've actually had to remove the tool from the sheet metal and LOOK at the button to make sure it's on. That's a pain in the butt. A simple slider switch or even a toggle would've worked better than the push button. Or just make the button BIGGER and with a more positive click-stop! It's simply not a natural movement to engage the trigger lock.Second, the lock-in power cord. Well, it doesn't always lock in, okay? The one on my G9 has come loose several times, and yes, I do know how to plug a cord in to a tool. Another pain in the butt. You're polishing away and all of a sudden you lose power. Frustrating to say the least. The only real advantage to having a removable cord is that it makes it easier to store the tool when you're done with the job.One final caveat, and it has nothing to do with quality or function. The G9 is not a lightweight piece of equipment. It weighs 5 pounds without the cord. Five pounds doesn't sound like much, but after using the tool for 15 minutes or longer on vertical body panels, it seems to be increasing in weight by the minute. You'll feel this in your shoulders. So be prepared for that. All in all, the G9 is worth the price and does a fantastic job once you really begin to understand the techniques of paint correction and polishing with it. Just be aware that it isn't as easy as it looks in Griot's promotional and "how to" videos.Bottom line? The G9 is a quality piece of equipment. Don't be afraid to spend your money on it. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Great for detailing
I used this for all sorts of detailing. I use it to polish and can put a buff pad over a new polishing pad to remove wax. Powerful and sturdy.

Worked excellent for a first time correction.
The media could not be loaded. I am a first time user when it comes to polishers. So I have nothing to compare too. With that being said..This is a quality machine for a reasonable price. I have no issues or complaints. Its not super loud. Nice and smooth, vibration isn't an issue. After lots of research, I did the 5 inch backplate conversion. Runs good. No stalling.I did a 2 step correction on a heavily scratched pickup truck. For the first step, I used Buff and Shine URO-Fiber Microfiber Pads, paired with Sonax CutMax. And for the 2nd step, I used Lake Country HDO Black finishing pads, with Sonax Profiline Perfect Finish.Again, I'm a first timer and I got excellent results from steps above. I chose these products based on knowledge gathered from reading through many different detailing groups/pages/forums and countless hours of videos watched. Lol. I know there's probably better products and better methods, but this worked excellent for me.10/10 would recommend the Griots Garage G9 Random Orbital Polisher.
