Neat little pedal + great customer service
For a sub-$50 price, this is a powerful little pedal. It's small, but it's solidly built and feels substantial and doesn't go sliding around the floor when you inadvertently bump it with your foot. The instructions leave a bit to be desired, and the UI is a little confusing at first (shifting through modes is accomplished by tapping, double tapping, and tapping and holding the switch, and trying to intuit what is meant by steady green LED versus blinky red LED...) but there are several Youtube videos reviewing that explain how to use the thing if trial-and-error isn't your thing. I'm not a professional musician, or someone who gigs regularly, so I can't offer an opinion on how this would do on the road or for performing, but for messing around in the den, using it as an ersatz multi-track for composing ideas, it's more than up to the task. The pedal can also be plugged into a USB port to upload samples or download what you've been working on. The 'looper' software can be downloaded directly from Rowin's page. My caveat - as of the writing of this review - is that the software prompted me to update the pedal's firmware, which promptly bricked the pedal. So, uh, avoid doing that for now...But that brings me to my second point... I bought this pedal ~ 8 months prior to my misadvenutre with the firmware update. Long enough ago that Amazon had long since disabled the "return/exchange" option in my purchase history. I messaged Rowin, explained what had happened and hoped for the best, but candidly wasn't expecting much in the way of a remedy... But they got back to me within two hours, asked me for the Amazon order number, and immediately sent me a replacement at no cost. I was hoping, at best, for some IT advice on how to roll back the install and maybe get the pedal running again. So, giving credit where it is due, I remain a happy customer with both the product and with the company's prompt and satisfactory handling of my inquiry. There's about a dozen of these little looping pedals available on Amazon, all in roughly the same price range, and all with roughly comparable features... that Rowin stood behind its product strikes me as a distinguishing consideration in trying to decide which pedal to buy.

Not bad, I'll totally run with it...
I haven't played with many gain boosters, but among what I have used this one is decent. It is a bit gritty, not as clean as I'd hoped, but it sounds fairly decent for the board I have it on. I like that it has EQ to it, though I wish mids were more easily controlled. That would fix the extra grit I hear, but running it before an EQ pedal helps with that a little too.

Great pedal for daily use or just to try a out a booster.
This pedal is awesome; not just for the price. It adds the perfect tweak to make your leads cut through a mix, it's very user friendly, highly responsive controls and does a wonderful job of sculpting your sound without compromising your tone. It's compact but very well built; it's literally about the size and weight of a roll of quarters. If I had to say anything that is a minor annoyance, the switch is a little louder than I like, but I have it always on in a loop through a Boss LS-2 along with a delay that I only use for leads anyway, and it's perfect. It doesn't have quite the flexibility of my Rangemaster in the more extreme settings, but you're easily able to dial in a Brian May or Rory Gallagher tone with it, and I don't have the anxiety that someone might think they need it more than I do when I step away from the board to grab another drink that I do with my Rangemaster.

DO NOT BUY THIS
The media could not be loaded. They are sending faulty products out. This looper is lighting up in orange and there is nothing in the instructions to tell you what that is supposed to mean. It’s not doing anything other than lighting up in orange. The seller is not responding to any of my questions. I even bought an adapter and when I plugged it in it didn’t even light up. So I’m returning this product and I suggest that no one buys from the seller because it is a waste of money.Update: The orange/yellow lights are for the software. It lights up in yellow when it’s in USB mode. Finally got an adapter that works with the looper. But now my issue is with the looper effects the only thing that is lighting up on this is the FX. No matter how many times I press the looper button it does nothing. The seller never bothered to respond. Also I went to download the software and got “404 not found”

Impressive, bonehead-simple looper
Pedal arrived overnight, which shocked me to begin with. Then I took it out of the box and fell in love with the thing. It's easy to use, overdubs easily, and syncs up into a loop more easily than my Electro-harmonix Grand Canyon delay Looper does. The Reverse is a very, very nice touch as well, although it would be even better if you could engage the reverse function with another foot switch. Impossible to do at this size, I understand. The single footswitch it does have, however, is a soft-touch switch and appears to be very solidly built. Just a great pedal overall.

Good value, but some things to be aware of.
Sounds pretty good and easy to use.Being new to loopers, I’m not sure if this applies to all of them, but I learned you are limited to the length of your added loops, based on your first loop. For instance, if your first loop is 5 seconds, you can only do a maximum of a 5 second loop(s) layered on that. So if you have a basic rhythm part you want to play a 20 second melody over, you need to play that basic rhythm part for 20 seconds. If you don’t, it will start over and cut your loop up.Product also arrived non-functioning. The loop switch was not working at all, and the lights were flickering. I fixed the issue by tightening the switch up and it’s worked flawlessly since then.Overall, very happy with the value.
