This lotion is AMAZING! I bought it to use solely as a face primer, but it's definitely not your average primer. I've tried many different high end primers and this is much, MUCH cheaper for equal and in most cases superior results. Makes your skin so smooth, perfect for before makeup application. After a few uses I put my face lotions aside and use this as my primary facial moisturizer day and night! It's non-greasy and light weight. Don't be fooled by its thin consistency, it locks in your natural moisture and leaves skin feeling great. I wasn't expecting any dramatic results so when I noticed my hyperpigmentation spots fading I was pleasantly surprised. I also find I no longer have a use for under eye concealer. The fading capability is certainly a huge bonus however I'd use this product even without it. Already have my mother and friends using this product and everyone loves it! Start using it now you won't regret it!

I have struggled with eczema all my life, and while Skin MD is no cure, after a month or so of using this, I can confidently say it really does the trick in terms of helping to keep it under control. While the lotion is extremely light, it is extremely soothing and does seem to help restore the natural skin barrier relatively quickly. My skin feels more resilient already - the same amount of scratching does not result in deep cuts but only surface scrapes.Although the website claims it's all you need, and to just repeatedly apply it until your natural skin barrier is restored, that is only true when the natural humidity is over 40% or so. On a trip to the East Coast at the end of February, with heating going full blast everywhere, I found that mid-flare, when I had already scratched my skin all raw, I had to apply Skin MD to soothe and hydrate my skin, and then apply a layer of Cerave or Restoraderm (or even better still, Atopiclair or Avene XD) on top to lock it in. The combination worked, not Skin MD OR Cerave/Restoraderm alone, to heal my skin really quickly. (How bad was bad? I was waking up every 2 hours to remoisturize the first couple of nights of my trip.)Now that I'm back in a humid environment, one or two applications a day is sufficient. It works out to a similar price per use as Restoraderm or Cerave - a little goes a long way BUT not quite as far as the makers would suggest. (The 4oz bottle was marketed as "enough for 3 months" but obviously it will depend on how much of your body is affected by eczema.) As another reviewer pointed out, it feels like a makeup primer, no doubt because of the use of silicones. The plus is that it is easy to reapply mid-day without getting your clothing all greasy, as it somehow both spreads easily and sinks in quickly.

I have been buying this for several years and it's my #1 go to lotion. I use it all over my body including face. It isn't greasy or sticky.

I ordered this after searching for a non oily moisturizer for my face and reading other reviews. I am 36 and have just started to think I need a product for aging; yet, I still struggle with breakouts. I have only used this for 2 days so I cant speak to whether it will actually help with the breakouts but I can say this feels great going on...not greasy at all and absorbs right in with no residue, just super soft skin. I do feel that my skin immediately looks and feels younger. I am excited because I struggled to find an everyday product for this that doesn't cost way too much for the size of the bottle. This was a large bottle that goes well with my minimalist lifestyle because it is great for face, body, and hands. I am sure I will be purchasing this again!

I was really excited to try the Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion after reading the many reviews from others who suffer from various skin ailments like myself and have used this product. I know how challenging it can be to find a product that can work well for our sensitive skin. It's always a trial and error. Thankfully enough, this product hasn't broken me out or caused any allergies of any sort to happen which I'm happy about. It's a nice lightweight formula that isn't sticky or greasy and has no fragrance whatsoever.This 4oz. was perfect for me to try out for the first time most especially since I can carry it with me if I have to leave the house. It worked great for anytime after sanitizing my hands. I also used this after showering or anytime after washing my face in the morning and before bed. The directions do say to apply every 2-8 hours until moisture improves which I had to do often for my face. Initially, it took a while to see improvement. However as the days went by during the week, I did notice the areas where dryness was apparent, were subtly softened. If I wasn't consistent on applying this every 2-8 hours, I would't have seen a difference. That's for sure. It also helped to lessen the redness and irritation I had prior to using this.Overall, i'd say it's a good product that does help most especially if you have skin irritations or flare ups like me. Yes, the value can be a bit pricey, but the benefits are worth it.

I keep this by my sink. Use it everything I wash my hands. In this dry indoor climate it works to keep my hands from drying out.
