Eureka Tent, Combat One Person (TCOP)

Just Received My T.C.O.P. Military Issue Tent. I love it. Definitely well made. Two doors both screened. Eight foot long, with plenty of room to stretch out. Black out Vestibule. Show movies inside and no one would know. The Vestibule is great for storing gear on either or both sides of you with out limiting sleep area. Strong aluminum poles compared to most and the stakes are nice and big. These baby`s will be hard to bend. Only one draw back. Height is limited to 39.6 inches. sitting up is limited to center. Advantage is, This keeps a low profile and Decreased wind resistance. Camouflage outer Design. Also total Repair kit with Thread ,needle, thimble, Shock pole collars, and para cord. carrying sack. Received my tent this week, shipping was fast and reliable as always either amazon. But this tent, I can’t say enough. As a Soldier in the Army always going to the field you get to learn what tents are good and which ones to stay away from. I can assure you this tent is the real deal. Although it does say USMC on the side... it’ll work wonders for me lol. Set it up in the back yard and everything was there and looked brand new, even though I bought a used one from Ozark Outdoors. No discoloration, no markings, no strange smells. Just a perfect tent for my next field problem. Plenty of room inside, as a 6’1 240 pound “gym rat” I can easily fit inside and have enough room for another if needed. Ozark Outdoors thank you for outstanding customer service, emailing me and asking me how the tent was the day I got it! That’s a step above! Next field problem is next month. I’ll update afterward.UPDATE: it’s been a couple years and LOTS of field exercises. Best tent, hands down. Last exercise someone’s Kelty was completely destroyed in a blizzard. I didn’t even notice the blizzard inside this tent. Also, it got down to -20 a little propane heater before bed and this tent holds the heat all night.

I should clarify and say that this 1 star rating was for the seller, Amazing Gear, not the tent itself. The tent, as in fabric, is amazing, just what I wanted, my problem is that the tent was advertised as new and the seller sent me a tent with poles and stakes that did not originally come with the tent. Cheaper of course. The stakes weren't even usable as they were a triangular shape and the tent tie downs have round grommets. Yes, I could have used the stakes and just tied them off the tie down points, but why should I have to? That's not the way the tent was designed, nor how it was represented when I bought it. I should also mention that it seemed funny how after a week of pestering the seller through email about the original stakes and poles or reimbursement he mysteriously came up with 4 (tent should come with 8) of the ORIGINAL tent stakes but he wanted me to send back 4 of the crappy ones he sent me before he would sent them. He even wanted me to pay for shipping. I was blown away, like you gotta be kidding me. It's like 2 bucks but it was principle at that point. When I said I shouldn't be responsible for anything because I bought a tent that was represented as new he said he would just send the stakes but he was closing the sale after. I didn't even dispute, was just done at that point. The poles work and seem to be of ok quality and I'll just buy 4 more round stakes so it is what it is.Bottom line, if you can find a TCOP that's legit BUY IT. Awesome tent. BUT STAY AWAY FROM AMAZING GEAR!! You'll regret it, reminded me of the hassle of the early days of online shopping.

I received this tent yesterday and immediately set it up to make sure all parts were there. The tent is brand new, doesn't have the foul smell that some people seem to find, and has everything present. The only reason this tent is not getting 5 stars is because it does not come with a footprint. Other than that, it is great. It has plenty of room for a big sleeping bag and is actually quite roomy for a 1-man. I will have room for my rifle to be inside beside me while hunting and my bag and boots have plenty of room under the two vestibules.I'd recommend this tent to anyone looking for a sturdy, roomy 1-man at a decent price that doesn't take too much room in the back of an FJ40 or a Wrangler.

The tent was new military surplus exactly as listed. The seller was McGuire Army Navy and I have ordered through them via more than one third party source with no issues. If they say it's new, it's new.The tent itself is heavy duty, easy to set up, and comfortably fits one person with plenty of gear storage under the rainfly.This is not an ultralight tent. Definitely would be fine for backpacking but if you are looking to shave ounces this isn't the one.

As much as I like the design, the tent cover that finishes the product, it's falling apart. Not sure if this was a return and quick fixed but the seams are brittle compared to the tent that lies under the cover.

Your not going to find a more durable tent. Especially for this price. Basically this is the one man version of the Eureka USMC Combat Tent we were issued in the marines. Double walled, in simple grunt terms this is a heavy duty tent encased inside another heavy duty tent. As long as your not an idiot when it comes to camping and you don't pitch your tent inside a potential swimming pool or pond and actually select a good draining location then you will in no possible way get wet. This is also great for stealth camping and the woodland camo design blends in with it's surroundings and the small size and low profile add to it's tactical applications. Have blackout material is also a plus so when you turn on a flashlight in the middle of the night your hooch won't light up like Las Vegas Blvd. If your into awsome tents and don't feel like playing around with cheap knockoffs then hurry up grab yourself one or two of these TCOPs ASAP!!
