Plugged it into my computer and it shut it off immediately. Unplugging and plugging the computer back in had it back on with no problems since. Haven't tried it since on my computer or iPad, don't know if I will ever get brave enough, I have to much money stuck into these.

I bought this for a recent trip to Disney and wanted to be able to transfer photos from my cameras memory card to my iPhone or iPad to post to social media. I guess I thought it would work a little more like a USB stick for your computer. You have to install the app to be able to use which there are not directions for this once you do though it is pretty simple to use and allowed me to transfer my pics to social media. My other gripe is that you have to take your case off to plug it into your device which is time consuming. I liked that it was small in size that I could carry it in my camera pouch but it wasn't just as simple to plug and upload a quick photo.

This thing is amazing. Extra storage completely eliminates the need for more storage on iCloud.I love it.
