This is the Gold Standard for skin healing & protection! As an RN who has worked in all areas of major hospitals except L&D & in actual OR, this “paste” is the BEST for skin irritations like any rashes, beginning pressure areas of the skin, diaper rash, skin irritation from incontinence, heat rash, etc. After sustaining a severe injury, I find that I’m in a wheelchair & sitting most of the time with pressure on my skin being a constant issue. This paste helps tremendously with stopping any actual breakdown! Of course, I wash frequently, wear breathable fabrics, shift/move frequently, use high quality moisturizers & drying agents as appropriate, use supportive pillows, etc.! However, once I notice a bit of soreness or redness in an area, out comes the Calmoseptine for a couple days & all is well! It’s Definitely The BEST & I know the RNs & Nsg Assts. I worked with ALL felt the same way!

Helps to prevent bed sores.

I’ve used Calmoseptine for almost 15 years. My late husband had surgery for advanced ulcerative colitis and used this for his intense rashes. I use it on cuts and scrapes. I work in my garden and around the house and am always scraping my skin. I also live in the country and get lots of bug bites year round.It contains menthol and zinc in an EXTREMELY sticky base. If you don’t want this on your clothes this is not the cream to buy. It also has a mild menthol smell and feel when using on tender open rashes. But this stuff really does work. I’ve used other rash ointments and while they’re good I’m really partial to Calmoseptine.When we first started using this it was expensive and available only through the manufacturer. We thought it was worth it then and now that it’s a lot less expensive it’s definitely worth it.

I'm the caregiver for a wheelchair-bound adult who develops pressure sores despite all efforts to prevent them. His medical team recommended daily use of Calmoseptine, which not only heals but prevents the sores. And we found it works! Keep in mind that it contains calamine, so it's pink and will stain, although that's a small price to pay for fewer problems with pressure sores.

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I received 5 tubes instead of 6.

It’s a powerful cream that protects the skin, creating a barrier to avoid the skin breaking down. I love it and have always suggested it to my clients when it’s necessary.
