2016 SS Camaro programed as extra very easy and works perfect. you just have to turn the lock cylinder to the left 5 times. then put a current fob in the rear cup holder and then this programed as #3. there is a procedure online for starting from scratch as well but takes 30min.

I bought a used 20017 Malibu and it came with only 1 key fob. I called dealer and they wanted almost $300 for new key and to program . I took the chance and bought one of these . It comes with different websites to visit for programming but I found a video on YouTube that was helpful. It was fairly easy to program but after it was finished my factory remote or the new one wouldn’t work . I’m not sure what the problem was but I removed hot cable from battery and reconnected. Both remotes worked great after that . I have been using as a spare for 2 months now and no problems.

Just followed the instructions with the website printed on the packaging. Allow 30 minds for complete process, great product!

For Malibu 2016 LS, please place your FOB in the tiny pocket inside the center console box's rear side unlike Cadilac while your current FOB is in the cup holder. The rest, please follow the instruction of the website link. After programming it, your car will activate theft deterrent thing, and the car will not start for 10 minutes. Return after 10 minutes to use your car. Hope to had better instruction as I almost tow my car to dealership as dealership recommended to tow to dealership when I ask them. FYI It seems that LS model does not have remote start function. So remote start key would not work while other keys working.

I purchased this fob for my vehicle on 16 December. The dealership suggested going to Amazon. I mean, after all, why not. In anycase, I did and recvd said item. I then called around to various Locksmith and some the price was $230 and up. I finally found one that price match or beat others, for 2/3'ds of the cost. The Locksmith then showed me how my original key worked but the fob didn't and suggested that I return it to Amazon because what I have recv'd, was a bad chip / motherboard inside the fob itself. 🙄😒😠😤. I still had to pay and still didn't the key, in the manner of which I expected. Now, I would have to order another fob, scehulde for them to come back out annnnnnd pay all over again. Overtly pissed is putting it mildly, how I really feel.🤬

So I went to my dealership and they wanted to charge me a hefty price for a whole new key fob when all I needed was just the fob and no reprogramming. I bought this key fob which was identical to my own except this was new, so I simply switched the motherboard from the old and used key fob to this brand new one and it works perfectly. Saved me half a grand, the motherboard fit perfectly inside, and it looks exactly like my old key fob just brand new. Definitely a better and cheaper option to buy this if you just need a new key fob and need to replace the insides.

My dealer wanted over $350 for this replacement. I had lost one of my two fobs about a year ago and panicked when I couldn't find the other one. For my 2017 keyless entry CRUZE, I relied on my nephew (Late 30's) to complete the installation of the new FOB. It takes about 30 TIMED minutes. The instructions online are specific. It was easy for him to install, and all functions are fully working.The only think I did not do was have the emergency key cut for the new fob. That is not necessary for completion of installation of the new fob.
