Great no frills Bluray player
I originally hesitated ordering this player because of some of the bad reviews, but buying refurbished is definitely the way to go. It's been a few months now and i have had no major issues, only minor complaints. The most obvious flaw is the build quality....not a deal breaker, but just something to be aware of. For instance, as others have stated, the disc tray is a bit flimsy but works fine. Another thing i noticed is how it handles scratched discs. Instead of skipping, the screen will go black when it has trouble reading the disc, but it will read some pretty scratched up discs. These issues are nit picking, but someone may find it useful to know. The really good thing is how well this player works! Boot up is really fast as well as initial disc read time. Picture quality is second to none, as well as audio quality. Really so many good qualities about this player to list so if your on the fence, just buy it, you won't regret it.

Great player, no issues, movies look great!
I am in love with 4k! We just bought a 65" 4k 3D tv and I we needed this to go with it obviously. Setup was a breeze, the player is not loud at all, and the 4k movies look great. The player is slim and not an eyesore. We have not had any issues with it and it does exactly what it should. A+

Good value. I just hope it lasts!
EDIT: I returned this player for two reasons. First, after I plugged this unit into the power outlet, the Cable Modem I had plugged in on the same circuit started randomly rebooting!!!! Took me a while to figure out this player was somehow causing that! I don't know how this player, even when powered off could cause some kind of electrical interference that would cause a cable modem to reboot!?!? But after unplugging this player, the cable modem stopped rebooting! RETURNED!!!Also, while watching a disk, the TV screen would go black randomly for a couple of seconds. It did not happen a lot, but maybe a couple of times each disk.Too bad - otherwise I would have kept this.------------------------------------------------------------------------------I needed to replace a 10 year old Sony blue-ray player that was on its last legs. Was going to buy another Sony, but all their models reviews seemed to state that they freeze and need to be unplugged which was what my old unit did a lot too. So I figured I would get a Samsung to match my TV.Overall, I think this is a good value. I just hope it lasts!I was leery of a refurb as I only had purchased one other Amazon refurb in the past which worked out great. For me, the unit came in the factory box, and the packaging was professional with everything sealed in plastic. The remote looked brand new, and came with a new battery and a new HDMI cord. The unit itself had scratches on the top like it was in an AV stack.Pros:* When playing a regular DVD, the upscale worked really great.* Easy setup.* Works great with a Samsung TV Smart Controller.* Full feature set, and has some features that others are missing.Cons:* When playing a Bluray disk, the upscale was not as good as I expected. Pretty much looked like standard 1080P to me.* No front display anymore. Seems like all the manufacturers have gotten away from a front display for some reason.* When you power off the unit and power it back on, the disk starts from the beginning and not where you left off. VERY ANNOYING! You have to search for where you left off.

This KM85C did have WIFI built in, but it is not noted on outer box.
Machine looks like new, still has original plastic protection skin attached, I'm not sure it's ever been out of the box. Works great so far - stumbles on a home made tape to disc transfer copy, but commercial disc of DVD and Blu Ray work great. Outer box makes no mention of WIFI capability on this KM85C but it is noted on the plastic protection skin of the actual device and WIFI setup popped-up during initial setup and seems to work fine. Delivered was on time in original box without external shipping carton (one corner was a little crushed, but device seems okay). Thx.UPDATE: Still working great, use it quite a bit. Had it for about 3 months and am happy with actual player; talks over HDMI to my Panasonic plasma to set color and contrast, and gets the best out of Blu Ray and DVD discs - looks better than DISH satellite signal. Built in wi-fi and support for roku subscribed channels, though my actual Roku player seems to stream signal a little more dependably on my meager 1.3M bandwidth. Down graded from 5 to 4 stars on my only complaint; the remote. Not backlit, and fast forward, chapter jump and other playback controls are on a minimum number of buttons with some doing double duty - so it can be tricky to get exactly what you want, particularly control of fast or slow motion playback, or chapter jump vs scan forward/back. For the price it's a winner, particularly if your goal is just to drop in a disc and play it though. Will be getting a LG OLED 55C8 when the price bottoms out and am anxious to see how these Blu Ray disc look on that.Update 2: Included remote is lame, but universal remote that is part of my DISH system is able to run Samsung DVD devices, and after trying a few different 'device codes' found one that works. Buttons labeling don't match perfectly, but after some trial and error figured it out, and now have better control over device.

Amazing!
This is an amazing 4-K Blu-ray player with built in Internet streaming and the picture quality is incredibly Vivid!! Even NON-4K Blu-ray movies and DVDs are upscaled to near 4K quality with an incredible Vivid picture. The internet streaming capabilities such as Netflix are also upscaled to 4-K viewing and I absolutely love this product!! The ONLY downside I seem to have with this is every time I turn on the player I have to keep connecting to WiFi when using the internet streaming but I simply just plugged in the Ethernet cable into the back of it and don't have to worry about that anymore.. I absolutely love it! This is a true 4K Blu-ray player and upscaler for everything else
