life and breath
When my CPAP machine was recalled, my doctor recommended these filters to use with the old one while I waited for the replacement. These filters are amazing. I kept using them even after the replacement came, as they sure catch a lot of dust and knowing I am filtering it out makes me feel like I breath easier using the CPAP.

Important for clear lungs!
Until Phillips replaces my recalled dreamstation, these filters are the best option to filter out unwanted debris from their machine. The filter did not seem to interfere with the force of airflow. Over all very satisfied. And a good price. This 12 pack should last a year!

Just what we needed
It’s the first year my husband had to use his cpap machine and we were just learning about how to deep clean it, when I realized we were forgetting this small piece, we tried reordering it through the original company and they gave us such a hassle. Thankfully we found it on Amazon and it arrived so quickly and it fit perfectly. Now I’m happy I don’t have to worry about it for a while since it comes in a good quantity amount, he’s set!

Great for protecting against small particulates
I got these for a Phillips unit that had been recalled due to a failure of internal foam pieces that had been, under specific circumstances, broken down. I was advised by my respiration therapist that these might provide a good stop-gap measure until my machine could be replaced. I've continued to use them, because they provide an additional layer of protection.

Easy to install
To early to tell if it filters the foam product that is failing. I just adds a safety feature

Saved from Recall
I was able to continue to use my C-Pap machine until it can be replaced. It was recalled for debris that was not filtered out and this filter was able to give me some extra protection until they send another one.

Bought these because of the CPAP recall
An ozone cleaning device has been attached to my CPAP for years. Recently the CPAP was recalled due to foam insulation degrading and discharging into the mask creating health problems. The manufacturer said to stop using the CPAP and they would repair or replace it, but that that could take a year. They also suggested replacing CPAPs over 5 years old.To be safe while I waited I purchased these filters. No way I could get any sleep if I wasn't using my CPAP. To get a replacement I had to schedule an appointment with a pulmonologist (2 months to get in). She ordered a new CPAP but said it would take between 2 and 8 weeks to get it. Medicare has to approve it. She said it depends who reviews the "sleep study" results. I have been using a CPAP for 15 years and she was submitting the readings from my automatic CPAP. Some reviewers approve anything, while others want a sleep study done with different equipment. So far it has been a week and I haven't and wouldn't expect to hear anything yet.According to the manufacturer the filter will only catch the larger particles emitted by the CPAP. In over a month's use I have not seen any particulate on the filter. That gives me some comfort, but doesn't indicate that the CPAP isn't putting out smaller particles, which are even more dangerous. Some reviews indicate that the filter is not attached to the CPAP well enough and leaks or falls off. That happened to me. I was able to resolve the issue by pushing the CPAP hose up to the wall and that takes care of both issues until the CPAP and hose get jostled out of place. Using the filters is a temporary solution, so I can live with thatAnother reviewer said it cut down on the CPAP pressure. MY CPAP is on automatic so it will increase the pressure so that I get the pressure I need. My CPAP set the pressure higher the first night or two after I starter using the filter, then dropped back to the prior pressure. This issue may have to do with air leaks where the filter is attached. Another reviewer taped the joints to eliminate the problem.I am annoyed when the hose falls off, but the solution is quick and easy. And the CPAP needs to be repared or replaced, regardless. The cost of the filters is worth it for a little peace of mind. It's not a permanent solution. It's just a partial temporary fix.
