I used this on my last heated tile floor job and it worked great. I like to lay out my own heat lines so I avoid the mesh kits. Also, you can usually find the heat line and controller cheaper without the mesh. Lay out your strips near the ends and start weaving, folding over the tabs as you go to keep them from slipping as you lay it out. You can skip as many as you want to spread out the heat. I like 6" spacings. If you place your thermostat 3" from a line you should get uniform heat at the right temp. Don't forget to cover with a layer of self leveling to just flush the wire and clips in. Makes it a breeze to mortar over, trust me. I've done a dozen of these now using many options out there.
