Blows Hot Air
I've only been running it for a week, so this review only provides initial impressions. My father has the same stove and has run it for five years. He has had to replace the blower fan but found it extremely easy. Parts are pretty generic and can be found on Amazon.Hopper holds a significant amount of pellets. One hopper load, about 2.5 bags, lasts about 3.5 days on the lowest setting.Heat is good and blower fan is not overly loud and puts out a good amount of air.I'm not overly impressed with the hardware used for routine removable components. For example, two plates need to be removed biweekly-monthly, depending on use, and are installed with a pretty flimsy screws. The metal seems pretty soft and flexed when I reinstalled just beyond finger tight. After doing some research, I came across a YouTube video from US Stove Co outling the expected maintenance schedule for this stove. Several routine items require removal of small screws in metal or plastic.

When it worked, which was only for about 3 weeks, it worked fine. But then the auger motor failed and they replaced it...twice...only to be now awaiting a sensor to correct an electrical issue. If that doesn't work, they will be sending a technician.

Pass on this one.
**UPDATE: Alright, I drilled quite a few extra holes in the burn and this thing has definitely woken up quite a bit.The factory burn pot only had holes on the bottom, and a few small ones on the front and back.I drilled 3 extra holes on the front and back, and 6 extra holes on each side. The increased efficiency has made a big difference. It burn hotter and more thoroughly now.I also welded small tabs to the top of the burn pot to help keep the pellets from splashing out.Only modify your burn pot AT YOUR OWN RISK. It worked great for me. That's all I'm saying.Do not buy this stove.Youve been warned.I bought this stove at Tractor Supply for my shop. Because its in my shop, ill keep it, and that's the only reason I'm keeping it.First of all, the side door panels get HOT. My other pellet stoves NEVER got this hot to the touch. Of course the glass and area around the burn pot get hot, but not the side doors. They get so hot the left side keeps warping and popping open from its magnetic closure.Second of all, the heat output is meh. Its not great. Its not horrible.Third, the glass is already dirty AF after the FIRST burn.Fourth, the bottom ash tray doesnt pull out like a drawer which is very inconvenient compared to cleaning my last pellet stove (Comfortbilt) that made cleaning a breeze. The few good things about this stove are the hopper size (massive), the fan (very quiet on lower settings), the thermostat function and the overall look is really nice.See pics.I would not buy this stove again, though.

Piece of junk! Not reliable
I have a Vogelzang VG5790 pellet stove. I’ve had it 1 full season now. Last season a nut cane loose in the hopper and destroyed the motor and auger. This year is worked for a week and the Air Pressure switch has gone bad. They won’t send me a replacement unless I pay $190 for the part. This stove has been down (broken) so much that I have burned less than a pallet of pellets in it. It constantly gets filled with unburied pellets and smokes up my entire house. The Vogelzang products are junk!! And the service is bad too. It is not a reliable product! I am constantly worried about my pipes freezing.

WORST PELLET STOVE I HAVE EVER OWNED
This pellet stove worked about 2 weeks before it started throwing error codes all the time. You have to clean it AT LEAST once a day or the burn pot will fill from burnt pellets, as the holes in the burnpot do not allow the ash to fall through completely. many time the pellets fall outside of the burnpot and mix in with the ash, so that when you do clean it out you are also throwing out about a pound of unused pellets mixed in the ash, after one moth it would not run more than 12 hours at a time without throwing some error for something. I have cleaned out the entire burn box, the exhauset the clean air intake, everything and nothing seems to keep it from erroring out. THis last time 45 days into owning I was sitting upstairs and we noticed huge smoke plumes coming up from the first floor. I ran downstairs and fire was shooting through the exhaust fan and out of the stack outside, And it was blinking an error conde. I have no doubt that if I had been asleep it would have caught on fire and more than likely burned our house down. the unit itself I could not even touch to shut off, as fire was going through it. I pulled the plug and grabbed a fire extinguisher and leather gloves to open the burn door (which by the way goes completely black after a couple hours of running) and had to extinguish the fire. seems it was after 30 days Tractor supply could do nothing about it. And good luck trying to get ahold of usstove. I sat on the phone for at least 30 minutes at a time before the phone finally disconnects. I talked to one very rude person who transferred me to a voice mail. in which no one returned calls. I also left messages with the AI on their website, which I also haven't got returned, I have been trying to get a hold of anyone at usstove for over a week now. with no reply what so ever. I hope that in some time there is a class action lawsuit brought against this company.
