For When You Don't Want to Smell Like a Belt
So here's the thing... As much as I like the smell of cigars, leather, musk, barrel aged liquors, and various woods, I don't always want to smell like them. Scents for men tend to be on the heavy/dark side. Sometimes you just want something that's a little brighter, but not perfumy (my spellchecker doesn't seem to like that word, but I'm sticking with it) or floral. That's where Beard Octan's Citrafella scent comes in. It's a complex scent which makes it hard to describe. When you hear "citrus", you think of lemon, lime, and maybe orange. While Beard Octane describes Citrafella as having scents of tangerine, lemon, and grapefruit... I would say grapefruit is the most pronounced... but not overpowering. The scents really come together nicely. If you're a cologne kinda guy... I would say it's similar to Issey Miyake for men. It's a bright fresh scent. It doesn't smell like you've rubbed a lemon all over your beard.Decent beard oils are fairly common, so I've spent probably more time than needed going over the scent. I just think it's so unique that it deserves more than just a few words. With that behind us, is this a good beard oil? You bet your sweet backside it is (although, you may need a larger bottle if you happen to have an ample mane back there too)! I have a fairly coarse beard that could best be described as pubes on my face (there... I said it!). If it's in the shower, there's no way you're able to tell from which "area" it came from. Beard Octane Beard Oil has left my beard at least as soft as some of my favorite beard oils. It gets rid of that itchy under-beard skin and any associated beardruff.I have seen lots of great comments about Beard Octane's customer service. I'd have to join in. I had a question on an order I had placed directly from their website. I sent an email and had a response from Joe in just a few hours. Even having read the good comments about their service, I have to admit I was still surprised how quickly I heard back.

Smells great!
My wife likes this beard oil. She says it's light and not as potent as other oils I've used. It has a light touch of oud. I think it would work well with perfumes or colognes that contain oud. I highly recommend this beard oil.

Husband and wife approved
We got the Nitro and it smells really good, more like blueberries than coffee but it's there. My husband really likes it, and we both noticed it was softer after use without being greasy. We plan on trying Beard Ocatnes Fabricator next but we'd happily get it again.

strong sent
Beard octane makes the best oil i have ever seen. just for me, and only for me this sent is too strong. not a bad sent just strong. if it was toned down a bit would be great! But if you want a sent you can still smell for a few days, this will work.

Wife loves it!
I have to convince my wife daily to accept my beard. She likes stubble but nothing more and bringing bad smelling oils into the mix only makes it worse. This is the first oil she has smelled and actually liked, which says a lot because it's the first good thing she's said involving a big beard on my face. The burst of smell when I first apply this is fully coffee and blueberry which is amazing, but turns into a slightly sweeter smell, almost like blueberry syrup. It's an awesome smell and the oil makes my beard softer and more enjoyable to wear. Love this stuff!
