I use them on stove top/camping type percolators that do not have "inside ring."

Although SOME mfgrs of PERCOLATORS do NOT come with a HOLLOW 'bubbler', it is good to know that others are saying that these are in fact hollow. I purchased a COLEMAN STAINLESS STEEL STOVETOP percolator with a FAKE bubbler as it had been closed off with glass and did not allow the coffee to go all the way up to the top and back down again. Those who have answered your question as if it was a no-brainer are wrong...NOT all percolators are what we remembered them to be. After having my stainless coleman stovetop percolator for over a year now...i JUST NOW figured out (by closer inspection) that the bubbler is NOT hollow. I too am here looking for a HOLLOW GLASS bubbler (1")
