I wasn't going to leave a review for this ladder (because it is a ladder!) but I wanted to say that the Ohuhu 12' ladder really stands out from other cheap imitations. Scroll down to the end for a customer service update after I ran into a mechanical problem with the ladder.Before I go into the Pros & Cons of the ladder, let me say that I have referred three other people to the Ohuhu 12' ladder and they all bought one. Very happy.PROS:+Light and easy to carry+One button retraction+Feels sturdy when up on the ladder+Adjustable to different heights+Can seemingly go anywhere+Feels like the aluminum or steel is durable, no chips or marks+Clean it with a wet rag or Clorox wipe (if you can find 'em!)CONS:-Hard to stabilize on uneven surfaces (little give, it is rigid, which is a good thing, though)-Might pinch your fingers coming down (Okay after you get used to its retraction motion)-Manual does not talk much about maintenance like lubrication or cleaningPROBLEM:After 13 months with this ladder, the last level of retraction failed. All other levels retracted. I tried everything from silicone lubrication to flipping it upside down but that level was stuck in the locked position. I reached out to Ohuhu. At first, they informed me that the ladder was past its one year warranty. After some back and forth with their responsive customer service, they agreed as a courtesy to send me a brand new ladder. It arrived quickly and worked 100%. The design of the replacement ladder seems to be updated with different grips on the bottom, notched edges and a smoother retraction system. I have used it a few times and it worked flawlessly.Overall, I would recommend this ladder for its versatility, portability and overall function. Compared to a heavy, adjustable ladder this one really shines.

I purchased this 12.5’ telescopic ladder over a year ago based on a lot of outstanding reviews and positive feedback. As a consumer, I rely on these reviews and comments that people leave, I generally find them extremely helpful. I mainly used the ladder to get on the roof of our RV to perform routine maintenance and repairs. For about 18 months the ladder worked great, no problems at all, I loved it! I felt safe using it, it was light weight, portable, and completely worked as advertised. Unfortunately, the first time I used it this Spring, I was unable to retract the ladder back to its original size. After a closer inspection, I noticed that one of the locking rung clips must had broken which prevented the ladder from fully extending and retracting back to its original size. I was completely devastated that something had broken, I really loved the ladder as it worked great for what we used it for. I knew the ladder was out of warranty, but I decided to contact the company (Ohuhu) anyway to see if there was something that could be done to either fix it or have it replaced. I contacted the company via the telephone number provided and left a message. I could not believe it, but I actually received a call back later that same day from the company asking how they could assist me, WOW! The very nice Customer Support Rep suggested that I send an email to their customer support department explaining the issue, which I promptly did. The next day I received an email back from Ohuhu customer support acknowledging my original email. Over the next several days, the Customer Support Rep. (Niki) and I exchanged emails back and forth trying to resolve the issue. I really did not know how this was going to turn out since the product was out of warranty, but to my surprise, the company offered to send me a replacement ladder at no charge stating that I was a valued customer to them and they wanted to make it right, YES! The next day I received an email from customer support (Niki) indicating that the replacement ladder was shipped and that I should receive the new one in a few days. Just as promised, I received the new ladder yesterday in perfect condition, and everything works great! I am so thankful to Ohuhu and their customer support team, when I originally bought the ladder, I never realized that it also came with caring people, outstanding customer service, and a company that truly stands behind their product!A very happy and satisfied customer.

This is perfect for what I needed it for: light home maintenance of interior and exterior projects. It is sturdy and held over 200#. It did sag a little to a side as I climbed up, which felt a bit unsteady. It did not fall, so it is sturdy.It is very easy to put up and take down. Mind your fingers, and no children around this ladder. It is difficult to telescope up higher. It is not safe and may pinch fingers when folding up. It does not have finger safety between rungs and when telescoping it out, it takes a little effort to pull, and you must be careful that it doesn't pinch you both opening and closing it.The closure strap and storage is incomparable! It is great. I can throw it in a spare closet, or just hide it behind some furniture. It's super easy to carry due to the built in cinch and small body. It is a little heavy but not terribly so. It is very safe and fairly study. It will be interesting to see if it holds up to the test of time.Update: 7/1/21.The ladder has stood up to time. In terms of sturdiness this ladder does require propping against a wall. I would recommend this ladder for small household tasks.I have not pinched my fingers using it but I can see how easy that would happen especially children.This has remained a high use item around the home and is the same shape as when I purchased, so it is durable. I am somewhere between a 4 and 5 on this product, and happy it will last years to come.

I do vanlife and need to climb up to the roof and it holds really well and is amazing to have it compact for storage

I personally purchased and paid for this item from amazon.ca (verified purchase).At a $110. with the tax and shipping this ladder is an exceptional buy and a quality ladder and it only took a few days to arrive at my door. The weight is as stated and is blessing when compared to the weight of my Little Giant fold out extension ladder that I simply found to heavy and dreaded the thoughts of ever having to use it at any time in the future so I gave it to my son in law. This ladder does flex when using it but the flexing does not compromise safety and will safely hold 330 pounds as stated by the manufacturer. Its the ideal solution for accessing the attic opening inside your home or garage or for accessing the widows or walls or gutters or roof of a single level dwelling and is ideal for any mobil or permanent house trailers or an RV etc, etc. etc.The mechanics involved for extending or closing this ladder is pure effortless and are super quick ( less than 30 seconds ). The spacers between the rungs are a blessing and the true beauty of this Ohuhu product when compared to other similar style and brands of ladders. These spacers between every rung will prevent the possibility of ever having your fingers pinched when lowering each section of the ladder that drop instantly like there spring loaded when you push in the two black locking slides. The diameter of the rubberized feet is 3 inches and it comes with a velcro strap to keep it nicely bundled tightly together when transporting it. When in the close position It will store absolutely anywhere in your home or garage and will easily fit in any trunk or the back seat area of any vehicle. This is by far the very Best Extension Ladder I have ever owned. The only thing I wish it had, is built in { adjustable length telescopic feet } for when your using it on uneven ground. This one additional feature would then make this Ohuhu product the absolute ultimate in Aluminum Telescopic Extension Ladders.I recommend this quality product to all and I hope you enjoyed my review and it was helpful.

I used it to put a cover on my caravan

Use this for attic access and doing the Christmas lights. Have retired the more bulky extension ladder as it was a pain to get in and out of the garage. This does not go as high, but is great to move around as it is very portable. I like that there are gaps built in between the rungs to prevent accidental finger squashes. Light and easy to carry. It is stable, but if you are really afraid of ladders, it still has a bit of flex to it. As will all ladders, make sure it is on sure footing and don't over reach. Move the ladder. This unit is great to access small-opening attic access doors.
