I've owned, and used the bottle nightly, for a couple of months now and so far no signs of wear and tear or leakage. The bottle is a very large size and holds warmth pretty well. The fur cover is surprisingly great. It is soft and zips closed to fully encapsulate the water bottle, something that my other bottle does not do. The rubber is natural, so there is no plastic feeling to it. So far 5/5 product. Worth the money.

Just got this today and love it already. The cover is so soft...like holding a bunny (I know, ridiculous, but it's true). It dissipates some of the heat although it's only about 1/4 inch long "fur". The cover I have does not shed like others have described. I was expecting the rubber odor to be unpleasant, as I have a sensitive nose, but it was no issue for me. I do notice the smell but it was not overwhelming at all and I expect it will just improve with use. So glad I bought this particular hot water bottle. It will be great for the GI pain I regularly experience as well as those nights when my feet are ice cold and keep me from sleeping. The only thing that will be an issue is keeping my dog from deciding the rubber is a chew toy. She is very interested in it. lol

An absolute must have! These days with energy prices skyhigh, I can keep toasty warm at night with this quality horwater bottle and cover. So well made and the zipper tab is a replica of a tiny hot water bottle! So cute! Who thinks of things like this other than a company who cares about their product? The zipper tab is even covered with removable plastic just so it won't feel cold against the skin. One of my very favorite Amazon products! 💗

Maybe this is a case of my wanting my cake and eating too?I bought this for use on cold feet in bed.It is a super sturdy product and feels like it will last a long time. The neck-closure looks reinforced. It doesn't leak a drop. The large size easily fits both feet.However, here are a few things that I have learned:It is so big that it is quite hard to fill up in the bathroom sink.It is so thick that it doesn't conduct heat too well. Perhaps the ridges increase that problem. I put too-hot-to-touch water in it and it feels mildly warm. It came with a soft, furry cover, but I never use it because once that is on, so little heat reaches my feet that it defeats the purpose.While it looks like it would hold a bunch of water, the directions tell you to not fill it up all the way. Thus, it holds less hot water than you think.If this ever wears out, I will look for a replacement that is in-between this one and a standard size. When filled 3/5ths full, it is heavy enough that once in bed, adjusting where it lays is a bit of a fight. The ridges grip the sheets and the weight adds to the problem.Storing it takes up space in an awkward way. (Minor problem) I am afraid to bend it in two for fear of damaging it over time.However it is built solidly. The engineering of the function is problematic for my purposes.

I purchased this Peter Pan XXXL hot water bottle in January, 2019. It sprung a leak in February, 2020. I only used it during the winter months of both years to stay warm in bed. I filled the bottle with hot--but not boiling--water (approximately 180°F from my instant hot water dispenser). The bottle remained warm through a full night and was still warmer than body temperature in the morning. It was truly a joy to use!The cover, however, was more of a pain than anything. The opening was at the opposite end from the bottle opening, so it was a challenge to entirely remove and replace every night. The cover was about an inch too short as well, so the bottle was SNUG. It's not easy to slip fabric over rubber in the first place, but the tight squeeze made it almost impossible to zip. The zipper itself broke after just a couple months. It unzipped all the way off the end. I was able to repair it, but it broke for good after a few more nights. I was able to make a lovely fleece cover for it myself without too much trouble.One night in February, 2019, I noticed that the bottle felt MUCH warmer than usual. It felt like my leg was burning. I jumped out of bed and investigated. The bottle had sprung a leak through a TINY pinhole right on the edge seam where the rubber had cracked. Only a few drops of water escaped, but that was enough to make the cover damp and transfer heat more readily. I discontinued using the bottle immediately. Thankfully it wasn't a larger hole where I might have been burned or my bed soaked. (I have pictures of the pinhole, but Amazon isn't giving me an option to upload them. Will update if that changes.)When it worked, the Peter Pan XXXL hot water bottle was a wonderful bottle. Unfortunately it gave out much too quickly given the price tag. I followed the instructions to the letter, yet I only got one year of use. It's hard to justify the price, especially considering how bad the cover was.UPDATE November, 2020: Peter Pan honored their warranty even though my hot water bottle broke a month past the warranty period. They sent me a brand new bottle for free, including a much improved cover. I was not asked to provide this update in any way, but I appreciate the customer service so much that I am back to update my review. I really liked my first hot water bottle, so I am thrilled to have a new one! THANK YOU, Peter Pan!

I grew up with hot water bottles but this large one is brilliant!!! Works so well for my whole back! Will be buying more!

No, the cover is not in the shape of a teddy bear, but it has all the softness of one. This is the longest hot water bottle I've ever bought and am thinking of buying another because I live in a manufactured home that suffers a bit of a draft..... takes me back to my childhood in the north of England !Anyway, its cozy and warm and helps me go to sleep - and it doesn't leak. What more could you ask for. Is it as warm as sharing your bed with a mate? No - but it doesn't talk back, move or snore !

I bought this to warm to warm my bed on cold nights and it has saved me. As someone who doesn't like to sleep with the loud and dry heat blasting, this has been a perfect remedy. And it stays warm the majority of the night! Plus it's great knowing that I'm not being inundated with EMF.One thing to note is that the zipper clasp gets pretty hot, but I can 1000% deal with it.
