I use this light on a baby changing table. The clip has enough grip to hold in place, and easy to adjust if needed. The switch is in-line of the power cable, approximately 6" from the clip, with approximately 5' to the wall plug. I like the light as it is a very simple on/off, flexible and clamps easily. The switch does not have adhesive or screw holes to mount. I used double sided adhesive for wall mount pictures, and it works great.

This lamp was very well thought out by its designers.There’s a choice of 3 brightness levels AND 3 different color temperatures!I’m using it on a workbench for electronics detail work but it could just as easily be a sewing lamp, study lamp etc.The very flexible gooseneck allows me to get the light exactly where it’s needed and from there I can change the brightness and color temp to suit the work.The lamp comes with a clamp that has suction cups on each edge which do a fantastic job of adhering to my melamine shelf on my workbench (see pic)…….I chose white as it blends with the shelf it’s attached to.Keep in mind that this lamp will NOT automatically turn on if you plug it’s AC adapter into a switched outlet.To turn it on you’ll need to touch the power icon on the units control area (see pic)I’ve seen comments about people obsessing on how long it will last and I don’t see that as a problem….first of all, it’s guaranteed for 5 years and secondly, it’s $19, so if you need this type of light for your work area, give it a try. I think you’ll be happy with it.I’m very happy with my purchase.

This product is excellent in every possible respect including the price. I needed a light of this type that provided high levels of functionality and adaptive versitility. The clamp had to fit in a very confined space. The rubber suction heads provide extra grip AND protect the finish of the headboard. The light is very bright and I can swing the arm from an in use position to out of the way position with ease and minimal twisting. It is sturdy, compact and totally fills the bill. I looked at a lot of options. I chose the Newhouse, in part, for the price because of uncertainty as to how well any of the options would adapt. Thus, this offer was a definite win-win.

This is better for general area lighting than for small areas. I like the color temperature. It is almost twice the size I expected. The clamp holds very well, and the built in suction cups help keep it in place. The gooseneck is weaker than I expected, and will sag quickly under the weight of the head. This comes with a small AC adaptor, and cannot be powered from USB.

This product is small yet very bright. I previously had a reading lamp from IKEA which was 3" disc covered in dozens of tiny LED's. It was a great reading light, had a large enough area to easily read and was a very clear, white color. Unfortunately, the entire thing fell apart a few weeks ago, leaving me in search of a replacement.For such an inexpensive light, this does the trick. the clamp is difficult to open, but also means the lamp won't be moving once installed. The clip also has padding/suction cups on it, which keeps it form chewing up whatever it is clamped to. The switch is large and easy to access, about 2 or 3 inches down the cord from the clamp.The light is not quite as bright as I would like, but it is more than enough to comfortably read by. It has a slightly yellow tint and throws a good circle of light. The neck is easy to reposition and stays where you put it, no drooping. A great purchase, especially considering the cost.

This one is long enough, bright enough, and has a wide enough and strong enough clip and a bendable enough neck to be of real use with an external monitor setup.Before I purchased this one, I purchased a couple of others that were too small and flimsy to be of use. I was becoming frustrated. I now have two of these - one for each side of my external monitor - and they've been there for months of nightly use and work great.I should also mention that the switch is not on the lamp itself, but a few inches down the cord from the base of the lamp. I find this makes it easier to turn on and off, because there's no concern that the process of grasping the switch will cause the lamp itself to jostle or the clamp to come loose. But it's still easy to find the switch because all you have to do is follow the cord a few inches from the base of the lamp.Five stars.

I gave the NewHouse "Ethan" LED Flexible Clamp Lamp ***** as it has exceeded my wildest expectations. It is extremely well made and heavy-duty with a magnetized clamp that fits tightly and securely on the frame of a cabinet above my stove in my old apartment. The flexible snake works very well and holds whatever position I place it in. I love the soft color of the LED versus the fluorescent under counter light I also have in my kitchen. Now the two lights represent the yin and yang of life in a way, but I will use this new Ethan more because it is less expensive to operate. The price, under $20, is more than fair. I hope everyone will enjoy this light as much as I do and am.
