Quality Blu-ray
I was a bit leery in ordering this product as it did not definitively state that it could be played in the US. When I received the product it stated Region B on the Blu-ray box and I became a bit apprehensive. I was extremely happy and relieved when I was able to play the Discs without issue!!I did a sampling of episodes from all of the discs and the video and audio quality is very good. I cannot wait to fully watch all of the episodes.

Only us OLD Sci-Fi geeks would ever care.
Over priced but - as short lived as it was - I loved this series. Only us OLD SCI-FI geeks would ever care.

Finally, the entire three seasons on Blu-ray. What took them so long?
Been waiting for the complete series release, especially season three. The quality of the picture was sharp and clear, and the sound was excellent. Only one episode paused and skipped. One out of 57 episodes is nothing to lose sleep over. Season one's episodes were the best. The stories well written and acted. My faves were 'TREASURES OF THE MIND', 'KNIGHT OF SHADOWS', 'BETTER THAN MARTIANS', and 'SUCH GREAT PATIENCE.' With the exception of Lt. Krieg, I liked the characters. He was too much of a smart-mouthed, wise-ass. Didn't realize that when I first watched the series. I was not sorry to see his character dropped. I was disappointed when Dr. Westphalen, Cmdr. Hitchcock and Chief Crocker didn't return for Season Two. I was hoping for a romance to develop between Bridger and the Good Doctor.Season Two was an over crowded mixed bag with the addition of Brody, Henderson, Piccolo, Dagwood and Dr. Smith, who I felt was their version of Counselor Troi from ST;TNG. Dagwood was the 'conscious' of the crew, almost like Data on TNG. My fave episodes were 'THE FEAR THAT FOLLOWS', 'THE SINCEREST FORM OF FLATTERY', 'DREAM WEAVER', and 'SPLASHDOWN'. Some episodes had me worried, as those you would've seen on 60s Lost in Space or Voyage - 'BY ANY OTHER NAME', 'MELTDOWN', 'LOSTLAND', 'AND EVERYTHING NICE', 'WATERGATE', and 'SOMETHING IN THE AIR.' Lastly Ortiz's hair was not regulated but at least he got more screen time.Season Three was a total reboot. Absent was Dr. Smith and Chief Ortiz. Did he die during 'SPLASHDOWN?' The only addition to the cast was Lt. Fredericks. As for episodes, only 'BRAVE NEW WORLD', 'EQUILIBRIUM', and 'SECOND CHANCE'. Plus, we had the deaths of Brody and Fredericks. Michael Ironside's Captain Hudson was a bad-ass with a heart. One thing I didn't notice until now were the uniforms. Some of the men and women were wearing shorts, and the women uniform were too low for regulation wear. It was like looking at centerfolds. Maybe they were going from sex appeal. Real military ships would not allow that. But this was television. Finally, I was disappointed the series was cancelled mid-season. There should've been some interesting story lines: maybe bringing back those dropped after Season One, like they did with Krieg. All in all, watching the series did bring back nice memories.

Package shows Region 4 symbol but Season 3 disks do playback in Region 1 player!
After reading the reviews from May 2016, and then the October 1, 2016 review, I purchased this box set. When I received it, the DVD package clearly showed the Region 4 symbol. Based on the October 1, 2016 review, I contacted Amazon via the call back feature of the help page. I got a call within seconds of clicking "call now." My question to the customer service rep was "Did I receive the wrong box? Ie: Are there two different items sold by Saver Sales where one is 'Region Free' and the other Region 4?" I didn't want open the package, have the disks not play in my Region 1 player, and then not be able to return it. The Amazon rep looked into the item, and after a brief hold, advised me that because it was fulfilled by Amazon, I would not have a problem returning it after opening. She recommend I open it and test it. I went a step further and did the test with her on the phone. As Season 3 was the primary reason for the purchase, I spot-checked Season 3 Disk 1. After inserting the disk in to my Region 1 Panasonic DVD player (SA-HT920) the Copyright title card appeared, a good sign. Then the VIAVISION title card. Then the DVD menu appeared. The video was stable. The sound clear (no pops, crackles, hiss, etc) from what I could hear. I selected the second episode so as to see middle of the disk. The episode played. The image was not the best quality in that it looked like the video was a transfer off of a screen (a "poor-man's" Telecine transfer as I could see vertical lines equally spaced on the background image, an underwater ocean scene). But otherwise, the video played with clear audio. Because I still had the Amazon agent on the phone, I only scanned about 20 seconds of Episode 2, and moved to Season 3 Disk 3 to spot-check that. Again, Copyright title, VIAVIDEO title card, and then the menu. Selected the second episode on the disk, and it too played. Conclusion: Though the package showed the Region 4 icon, the disks I spot checked played successfully in my Region 1 player as noted above. That DVD player is connected via Y,B-Y, R-Y component to a Samsung 52" LCD TV (LM52A630M1F). Neither S-Video output nor composite (NTSC) output was tested prior to this review's posting. I included the model numbers of my testing devices because not all customers may have the same experience with their own tests with their own devices, as every manufacturer can be different. I did not test any of these DVDs in DVD players of other manufacturers. Season 1 and 2 disks not tested prior to this review's posting. [I seldom write reviews for anything I purchase as I value my privacy. However, as a Broadcast Television Engineer, I felt a review with the results of the testing I performed may be of value to other buyers. Also, the Amazon rep could not herself post the success of the testing as she heard from her end of the phone call.]

The entire series and all in the proper order
This collection is complete with all 3 seasons and all the episodes are in the proper order which is better than the way it was originally broadcast. I wish they had made more episodes and seasons. The DVD quality is excellent and I received the set a bit earlier than I expected.

Seaquest Complete Series
I love to watch this series, I have the first two seasons but it was hard to find season three so when I saw this I bought it. I contains all 58 episodes from the three seasons. There are great guest stars that appear in the series and even some surprise changes of crew between seasons 1 and 2 and 2 and 3. There is even a change in command in the third season and two of the civilians on board become officers to be able to stay of the boat. Each episode deals with real issues and gives a sense of what it would be like to be on a ship under the water. This is a great series about life under the sea and how we can live there.

Awesomeness from my youth
First of all, the high-def remastering make this show look UH-mazing! Seeing Seaquest in HD makes it look even better than I remember it. My brother and I (now 38 and 44) watched this as kids/teens and thought it was so cool. Upon re-watching as an adult, I find about 50% of the episodes are amazing, and the rest are a mixed bag. Instead of being syndicated like Star Trek: TNG, these guys had NBC breathing down their necks every season, expecting it to equal the ratings of things like Home Improvement and Seinfeld. And while they got vastly bigger ratings than almost any other sci-fi (produced by Steven Speilberg..."small name guest stars" could be considered William Shatner and Mark Hamill - E.g. of "big name" guest stars were Charlton Heston - Constant network meddling Star Trek TOSed this series into oblivian and even Roy Sheider and Michael Ironside couldn't save it from cancellation. Still, the three seasons we get (better at the beginning, worst at the end) are well worth buying this on Blu-ray. It will likely not turn up on streaming anytime soon.

Good conversion of Seaquest
Rated a 4 as the Seaquest Blu-Ray DVD episodes themselves are very good. Had one scratch on one episode on Disk 1 (because of broken tab) but other than that, good quality, good conversion, and very happy to have bought this. However, Season 1, Disk 1, had, and unfortunately, this happens with a lot of DVDs/Blu-Rays that I order from Amazon, a broken tab that is suppose to hold the disk. Of course, the disk was moving, and it got scratched as mentioned above. Same thing happened to the x-Files Season 1 Blu-Ray disk I bought from Amazon recently. Luckily, unless the x-Files one, the casing is still usable. Outside of that, very good purchase, and if you are a fan of Seaquest, this is a no-brainer to buy.

Excellent HD quality
Even though some of the CGI shots are just upscaled to 1920x1080, I still would say that the HD quality of these discs is excellent. What comes to the show in general, first season is great and subsequent seasons start to drop in quality exponentially... however, as a scifi collector, this disc set is a must own. Btw box ses that the discs are regionally coded, this is not true, these Seaquest discs are region free!

Sea quest was a nice addition to my collection.
There was something wrong with the sound track, especially on the first disc. It did improve in season two.
