This is a book that delivers what the title says. However it also delivers a very thoughtful and intuitive understanding of epilepsy and how it affects and impacts people’s lives.

It is hard describe the sheer terror I had when my daughter had her first seizure. When she was diagnosed with epilepsy I just felt scared and jumped in head first to educate myself on the topic. Epilepsy 101 is a must read and my favorite of all the books I purchased. The authors explained in a way that was easy for me to understand what is epilepsy, what are our treatment options and most importantly how to live with epilepsy. It is remarkably reader-friendly for a medical book, and told me everything I needed to know about seizures and and does so in the most reassuring and calming way imaginable. I highly recommend!

This book is a great source of information for diagnosis and treatment and how to deal with epilepsy.The chapter on treatment options is very complete and up to date. If any one needs to know what epilepsy is all about, I highly recommend this book written for patients and families.

Wow, this book is truly a gem. It is insightful and informative.
