Works well, but awkward float switch design.
Good pump, but a bit of an awkward design. First, they should put in their manual and possibly on the pump DO NOT LOWER BY POWER CORD. I did just that, and swayed the pump around a bit to get it to stand up on the bottom of my pool. Worked great on first use, on second use the waterproofing had become compromised and it started blowing my GFI circuit when I plugged it in. Drying it out for a day and some zip ties around the sleeve got it working again. They should really have some sort of tension protection for the power cord like electric mowers do. My mistake, but a warning would have been nice. If you get this pump, tie a rope around the handle and use that to adjust the position.Second, there isn't an obvious method to defeat the float switch. They have a notch in the handle, but on my pump at least the cord won't stay in it, so you have to tether it...somehow. You have to grab a zip tie or something to tie the cord to the handle to adjust the float height. Some sort of built-in tether would have been nice: An additional cord with an adjustable length? Maybe even a bracket on the side of the pump that'd keep the float switch in the ON position..The pump works well. Quiet enough to operate that I can run it overnight. GPH isn't great through a garden hose, but that's a choice and not the pump's fault. Other than the awkward switch, I'm very happy with it.

Rought start
we had a rough start, forget using a water hose if you're draining a pool. I would recommend the stronger horse power also for the pool. After I bought 1 1/2in hose sold separately it did much better it has a tendency to topple over and twist your hose into knots and crimps if not sat on flat surface completely, my pool has mostly curves to the drain. Other than that with a good hose it pumped (albeit somewhat weakly) water up a 9 foot wall then straight out almost 200 feet to the street

Review of watershed Innovations Hydrapump 3/4 HP
The pump moves a lot of water with the larger type connection. It does have a smaller connection for a hose, but I have not used it yet. With the cutoff module connection, you have to, one way or another, attach it to pump at a height that allows the pump to continue pumping in low water. But, do this only when you are right near pump to manually do shutoff.

It worked great, here are some things that stood out
I got this pump to help clear water from an excavation in our patio. Since the water could have debris in it, this pump seemed appropriate. It worked great, here are some things that stood out:1) It works with a garden hose, so it is easy to get started quickly.2) The garden hose connects via an adapter, so it is possible to remove the adapter and connect a larger hose. This wasn't immediately obvious but it was mentioned in the manual.3) With a larger hose, the stated 3000 GPH is achievable - the flow was certainly stronger.4) The pump is easy to move around. There is a nice ergonomic handle on top. The bulk of the weight comes from the motor. The case itself is made of thick plastic, so it seems quite durable.5) I did not use the float switch, but it looks like it will work fine. Could use it as a "bilge pump" to prevent flooding in a basement, or similar situations.I have used some of the other Hydrabarrier products, and it seems like this would work really well with them.

Great working pump and superb customer service.
This pump works great. I have if set in a buried 5 gallon bucket that has a French drain connected to it in a low area of my yard. It can keep up with the rain and prevent the yard from flooding during 95% of rain storms. The pump went out on me just after a year of using it, which put it out of warranty. I called the company and described the issue and they sent me a replacement at no cost. I did not even have to deal with sending the old one back. Their customer service is unmatched. I would definitely buy from them again.

My goldfish seem happy!
Working well as a pump for my pond. It is quiet and moves plenty of water. My goldfish seem happy!Followup review:After 10 months of use, this pump began to trip the GFCI and stopped working. I contacted the manufacturer by telephone. I was initially skeptical as my call went to voicemail, However, in less than 10 min, I had a call back from a technician. I described the problem and the tech agreed with my assessment, verified my purchase and immediately offered to replace the pump.. I was SHOCKED to find a new pump on my doorstep THE NEXT DAY! Occasional production problems will occur with any product, but these guys went WAY above and beyond for customer service. I will not hesitate to do business with them again and HIGHLY recommend them and their product! Thanks Much!

Did not last
This pump was nothing but a headache for me. The first pump i received came cracked and broken. Amazon was great and provided a full refund. I received the replacement pump and used it once last year to pump water from my pool. It worked well but wasn’t very powerful. I went to use it a second time this year. It worked for 1 day and stopped working the second day. Their is a short in the pump. It trips my GFCI outlets when plugged in. It’s a waste.
