Q: Wouldn't putting a tray of water or spraying the bread in a cheap toaster produce the same results?

We did numerous tests regarding the difference between misting and steam at our company, and found it was difficult to control the moisture, as bread could absorb the moisture directly and get soggy. BALMUDA The Toaster stands out because it transfers heat from the steam to the bread to rapidly warm up the bread all the way to its inside while also preventing moisture from escaping. Also, since the burn marks differ depending on the shape of the interior, we repeatedly made detailed adjustments, even to the design of the interior, such as by making the glass area in the front small to create a shape in which the interior temperature does not change easily.

Q: can the Balmuda bake bread? Is the distance between the pan and upper heating element 2.5" or 6"?

We apologize for the mix up but the distance between the upper heating element and the pan is 2.5"

Q: What are the interior dimensions, and what size pans can be used in this oven?

The interior dimensions are 10.79 in W X 8.031 in L x 7.007 in H. A 10 in x 7 in x 1 in pan will be suitable for this toaster.

Q: I've noticed the bottom heating element doesn't turn on in "Artisan Bread" mode, leaving the bottom mostly untoasted. Is this normal?

I don’t use the tray to toast the bread. The bottom does get toasted as well.
