Great for the money you spend.
I bought this because I needed to install 24 stair treads and risers, this helped so much with making sure I was getting the tight clean look we all want! Sure the woods a bit soft and the screws get hung up if you don’t loosen up the pegs enough. But this tool is cheaply priced and allowed me to complete a job I can be proud of. The home owner were thrilled with the out come as well. So is short I would definitely recommend this tool. Takes all the work out of the job. Thanks

No slip on the new version
I had to use my screwdriver to tighten the screws every time I tried to measure my stair. The seller sent me the updated version of this jig that makes my life much easier!

This seller listens to customer
I bought the tool two months ago to revamp my stairs. This stair tool did the job but had a poor design on bolts. Then I contacted the seller. The seller said he will send me the new one in two months as he was working with the supplier to fix the issue.I forgot about it until today when I saw the new stair template tool delivered to my door. The bolt issue gets fixed as he promised(check out my picture). I would recommend other folks to contact the seller to get the old version replaced by the new one.

What were you thinking to sell it like this?????
I'm a builder so I know what I'm talking about. The unit is typical of others, but, the bolts that are attached to the thumb nuts are not a slot or carriage type bolt with a shoulder to keep it from spinning. This means that you line it up try to tighten it so nothing moves and you can't because the bolt spins. Really. What stupid thought that was a good idea. OH Wait that's right its made in china by an american company. $0.10 for a slot or carriage bolt and it would get a 2 star.
