Guess How Much I Love You: Little Library

The story was simple but sweet. I would've preferred names other than "Big Brown Hare" and "Little Brown Hare," (or something like that) since you have to say the names over and over and over. The warning is that you need to record it pretty soon after you get it. This was part of a 3 item order that I placed in June. In September, I'm ready to record it for my niece's birthday this weekend. I spent over an hour and a half messing with it late last night when I should've been packing. I started out okay, but then the recordings would stop in the middle of the playback. I thought it would be the batteries, so I had to hunt till I found 3 new AAA's. I replaced them, hoping I could pick up where I left off, since it says replacing batteries won't change anything. I had more problems, so I had to erase everything and start over. It kept saying turn to the page you want to record. I tried everything, but it wouldn't let me record the first few pages, though it let me re-record the last few. I was so upset. Today I started the return process, and it said the return window only went through July. Luckily, I got a lovely Amazon customer service lady who courteously and efficiently handled the situation. I would've been happy with a replacement, but she said that company's inventory turns over quickly (or something to that effect) so she could do a refund instead. That works. And Amazon gets major points for being so easy to work with. I order a LOT through here, and intend to keep doing so. I haven't read a review that said anyone else has had a problem with these (and they are, after all, Hallmark products), so I'll buy one locally and save my receipt till I know I'm happy with it.

I got this book to give to my niece who lives in another state. I wanted her to be able to hear my voice and remember me because we don't get to see each other often. Recording your voice is easy and straightforward, you can hear it back and redo the recording if you wish. The problems I did have were these: 1. do not speak directly into the microphone or your voice will be very tinny and hard to listen to . 2. There is no way to include a greeting or voice dedication, not even the title of the book. The recording won't start until the first page. 3. Don't read too slow or u will run out of recording time. Other than that I do recommend this product, it's fun and a great gift.

What can I say, I heard about this book from a friend of mine when my daughter was 4 years old. I bought it and read it to her at least weekly while reading other books as well. We both LOVED it. Today my daughter is 21, has given me a granddaughter and guess what I have bought this book again. I read it to my granddaughter a couple times a week. She LOVES the book as much as I do. The first time I read the book with my daughter I had tears. The first time I read the book with my granddaughter I cried. I am not a touchy feelie kinda of guy, I have dealt with all types of criminals from murderers on down, but this book touches my heart every time I read it with either my daughter or granddaughter and I am sure it will touch your heart also.

This was a great gift for our new grandson. I'm sure he'll hear it many times during his life. The quality of the book was high. You could record the passages several times until you got it just right. It was a little hard to control the volume as there was no adjustment. You had to change the distance of the book from your your mouth in order to get it at a good level. It had a very good microphone, but you need to be in a very quite place while recording so you don't pick up other sounds in your environment. It can be customized with your own comments where you think it's appropriate. I saved mine to the end of the story.

My mom read this to me when I was younger and now I will do the same for my baby. The only minor complaint is, for being a hard book it is slightly flimsy. I expected it to be a little more durable so hopefully holds up fine.

As a first grade teacher I am always looking for great books to read aloud to my class and the children in my family. This book is a great read-aloud book as well as a great beginner reader. The repetition and pattern make it easy for the children to follow along with and begin to read on their own.You can also purchase the Big Hare and Little Hare stuffed animals to go along with the book. These make it easy and fun for the children to act out the story while being read to.The illustrations are absolutely precious and beautiful. I suggest you buy this book in hardcover since you will want to share it with generations to come.

I put this sweet book in my one year olds Easter basket. It's been his favorite bedtime book for over a month now. He even sometimes holds onto it while I put him in his crib and then sleeps with it! The images are so sweet. I love that it's a great way to show him colors in a natural setting with beautiful artwork.

Unfortunately this isn't a recordable book despite it being listed as being so.

Oh the sentimental value of this cannot be described - it was my (grown up) daughter's childhood favourite and this little reissue, in a sheeny pink cover with little cut out hearts, is a keepsake now and for (I hope) many generations to come. Such a classic, simple yet touching little tale, it encapsulates all the boundless love we feel for our children. We wore out at least two books when she was young, read them till they fell apart so to find this little gem, at less than £7, to keep forever is just wonderful. I sighed with happiness.

Lovely gift for any age, but especially older children/adults as the cover is more a material and not a wipe clean like the other hardbacked versions. Bought it for my 75year old mam for mothers day...she loved it.x

I still have my son's book it was a gift to him 26 years ago and I felt I needed to buy one for me niece aswell
