... and cannot for the life of me understand the bad reviews. It is a minimalist design
I've had this toilet installed for over 2 years now and cannot for the life of me understand the bad reviews. It is a minimalist design. The wall mounter carrier is hidden, the bowl is suspended off the floor, and makes cleaning it and the room easy. The toilet has dual flush and in two years I have yet to have any issue with it.

Love it but, butt area ...
Everything great except seat's underside is not solid which changes how to clean it and the water surface is very small which increases the waste which sticks to sides of bowl. Wall hung is WONDERFUL because it makes cleaning the floor WONDERFUL. I designed a space where the shower head can wash down the whole floor and that makes me very happy.

Nice looking, Crappy performer
Ok, let me start by saying that I love the way this thing looks, which is mainly why I bought it. I would have never imagined what a piece of trash this is when it comes to its performance. The other reviewers the have said this does NOT flush solids properly are absolutely right. When I tried to get in touch with the company's customer care to express my concern, their response was to make sure that I was using the right button, really? I don't know who these people think we are, but I'm pretty certain that everybody that has bought this item knows that if you go number 2, it is the big button you push DUH!!I bought this years ago, and it spent a good amount of time in my garage as saved a little more money to buy the rest of my fixtures and materials for my bath remodel, needless to say that I'm way beyond my grace period for return, even with Amazon. So I guess I'm stuck with it, my advice is Amazon Should not offer this unit anymore unless Duravit is willing to reengineer the flushing system, if they did that, I would be a customer because as I mentioned at the beginning of my rant, its a very nice looking fixture. When I compare this with my Costco's toilet that costs hundreds less, is years apart.

Glad I purchased
Compact, space saver, simple design, modern. So glad I ignored the negative reviews! It flushes just fine! I will definitely order another when I remodel the guest bathroom.

Terrible flush!
This toilet has the worst flush design. It just sprays a jet of water directly into the water, completely missing any soil on the back of the pan. Result: you have to manually clean after EVERY use. (I'm trying not to be graphical).I contacted Duravit about this and even sent them a video showing the problem. I had substituted red jam for the real thing to demonstrate how the jam doesn't get flushed away. Initially they simply ignored me, so I kept sending them reminders. This went of for about four months before they finally responded and when they did, their arrogance was unbelievable. They refused to accept that there may be a design flaw on the basis that they sold so many of these units. I explained that I was merely trying give them feedback about a fundamental flaw, the toilet doesn't flush away the soil. But they continued to arrogantly refute my point and to maintain that their design is flawless. They showed an incredible lack of sensitivity and customer care. They were not remotely interested in what I had to say and in fact seemed genuinely insulted that I had dared insinuate that there might be an issue with one of their products. Totally surreal.I have now removed the Duravit pan and replaced it with a compact Catalan one; so much better but at a significant cost to myself. You live and learn: I'll never buy Duravit again.

Big Headache!
Duravit toilets and toilet seats are not standard for US. This is a German manufacturer. The quality of the product is not terrible but parts are not easy to find. I broke my Duravit toilet seat and went to a regular hardware store and purchased a regular toilet seat (I measured the height and width of the seat) for $20, I could have even bought one for $14. I came home, took the toilet seat out along with its hardware and to my dismay I found out that I have forgotten the third measurement; the distance between the two small wholes in which you install the seat. American standard for that is 6 inches and Duravit's is 7.5 inches. I went back to the hardware store and they had nothing with 7.5 inches apart. They had a wide variety of selections but they were all 6 inches. I went to two other hardware store to no avail. I called duravit that they said you have to only buy from us. I spend a day with NO toilet seat until they rushed me a one day shipment of a $110 toilet seat. I was furious. It is the same plastic white toilet seat that you can get for 5 times cheaper, nothing special about it.Problems were not over. After I received it, I realized that my $110 toilet seat is missing hardware. I called the company again (who knew a toilet seat would be the star of so many adventures!) and the tech support said that when I took out the toilet seat I should have left the hardware!!!! that is disgusting! The hardware had been used for years and although I clean the toilet regularly, I like to change the hardware when I get a new toilet seat. That is the least smart idea I have ever heard. Plus the hardware has a plastic component that had harden up throughout the years and it was very heard to remove it so I could be able to remove the broken seat, I couldn't re-use it if I wanted to.Bottom line, in order to make your life easier, make sure you buy a toilet that if need be you can easily from any regular hardware store find parts for it. Ask if the distance between the seat installation holes on the toilet itself is 6 inches. If not don't' buy it. The majority of hardware store (even the big national chains) carry only 6 inch models.
