Newpoint USB 4-port Hub

Easy to install, works great. This was a replacement for my old one which lasted eight years. It fits well on desk top with small space and has long cord to enable it to reach wall outlet. Also very reasonably priced.

the A/C adapter is so huge and as heavy as a dumbbell. once plug in, nothing happened, no lights, green or red, absolutely nothing at all. it comes with several accessories that would make think it's a good buy. but if the whole USB HUB is dead, everything is useless. i'd like to know what kind of Q/C this manufacturer really has done to this product, and how come a well-packed, look-so-nice item would turn out to be a deadbeat right out of the package?you can't returned it because there's no return address for this item; and even it could be returned, after the repacking, the shipping postage, the whole thing simply won't worth your trouble. there's website but it's also a deadbeat going-nowhere website.this product is completely a JOKE!

Have had mine for 6 years, and it still works nicely. Perfect for an iMac since it fits easily on the aluminum base - I have it stuck down with Velcro tape so it's literally plug & play for whatever devices I happen to be playing with. (Camera, phone, card reader, etc.)That one bad review is from a doofus who didn't read the instructions.The one weak point is that the hub does not work with those portable drives that rely on two USB plugs for sufficient power. Odd, when you consider that the hub has its own power, but the hub fails to get the drive spinning. Bit of a pain, in that you have to clear two USB ports on the back of the Mac . . . but at least you have a place to plug in the cables.

This hub functions perfectly. I don't know how else to describe it. The first review on here must be wrought with user error, because it works just fine over here. He is most certainly correct, when you connect the power supply nothing happens at all! Seeing as we all know a usb hub requires a computer to be useful, we simply connect the usb to the computer (as instructed in the setup) and the circuit is completed. All lights function properly even with a "found on the ground" ac adapter, not just the one included. When you plug it in to one usb port, it turns it into 4, just like it was built and intended to do. I see no reason to give this product any less than 4 stars. I'd give it 5 but I just already own one, and didn't have to purchase it here so I know not of the customer service of the seller involved here.
