I love it! And it has helped me study and understand, improving on different questions.

When I tell you I use this study book every single day in my Cst program. It helped me so much with the breakdown on specialties. And I love that it comes with a guide prior to taking taking a test. You’re given notes that help you with your notetaking. I felt like this book was top-tier in my study guides and it helped me so much with clarity when it came to certain test exams. I use this in addition to BoardVitals and another Cst exam book and this is the one that I use the most. I didn’t mind paying more for this book because all of my Cst coworkers and friends told me they utilize this book. It was a different newer addition but it’s always been about Lange. The holy Grail in comparison to the actual AST textbook

I used this to cram for about 6 weeks before my CST. I wasn’t consistent and I didn’t even get to finish the book but I still passed!This gives you a lot of basic necessary knowledge on a lot of important topics and specialties.I’ll admit part of it may be luck because I got the really mixed version of the test so it wasn’t focused on any one specialty unlike my classmates. If you buy this and study it the soonest possible before the test you’re probably guaranteed to pass I highly recommend!

Few things, I only had a week to study for my CST exam (license lapsed by 1 day so had to retake it), and so I remember using Elsevier and Lange 2 years ago for my first exam (didn't finish either of them) and passed with it but barely made the passing score. I considered getting the newest edition to keep up with the exam updates.Condensing all 500 pages, 32 chapters and doing every single test in the book in the time I was given is something I will never do again. (Get re-certified before your due date!!) Prior to using this book, I was scoring with an average of 60% across the board without any studying or refresher (basically failing). After using the Lange Q&A book, I shot up to 80% across the board and scored even higher than my first time!I knocked off a star because of the small handful of mistakes on the answer portions of the book but a quick google search to confirm solved the issue. A few questions were mixed up in the answer portion as well so be careful marking your answers. I was also a little bummed that there wasn't a comprehensive final CST exam at the end to give you the full experience with the mixed sections. I also used the Lange app in conjunction with the book and it basically quizzes you on the same questions offered in the book (this is an additional $24 after a 3 day free-trial). It was really good to use on the-go if I had errands to run and didn't have time to sit and study.Overall, I really liked the layout of the book, dividing the chapters into sections the CST exam will test you on so you can see which areas you do really well in, and those you aren't so you can work on your weaker areas! Highly recommend this book to review for the CST exam, but as stated earlier, to be wary of the mistakes in the book. In the horrific event I have to retake this exam again, I would definitely repurchase Lange again. (:

Easy to understand and use, do the practice questions and check the answers then review it the chapter again if you got many wrong. It prepped me very well for the exam. Admittedly I didnt read the entire book, I focused on what I didnt think I already knew (been a tech for over 30 yrs). I passed the exam with over a 90%.Good luck with studying and taking the test!!

Extremely helpful review provided before questions. Easy to follow, and appreciate it being broken into specialty chapters. Coincides with my current curriculum as a student, AST's practice exams online, and prep for examination.
