Great to seal up an unused dryer vent
Perfect fit and not an eye sore. Used it to cover an unused dryer event that I stuffed with insulation. Works great, cant feel a draft and it isnt an eye sore.

STOPS WATER!!!
I was having issues with the city sewer sometimes backing up through our basement drain. Tried several different plugs and this was the only one that completely stopped anything coming up. The only thing I would like to see changed is to use higher quality wing nuts. One of mine had one "wing" break off as I was first installing it.

Good but.
Good quality but with a basic design flaw in the wing nut for tightening the plug. It is very likely to break if you have to really tighten it, which I did not have to do for my use. Be careful when tightening it.

damaged sealing rings
The rubber gasket has 3 rings to make the seal. Every ring feels dried out, rough and has broken notches in the ring. Lowest quality gasket means no seal or quick leak.

Works great

Strong solid plug for 4" pipe, internal fitting with metal components
I discovered a 4" pipe in the wall that was loosely capped with a slip-over rubber cap. Unfortunately, the pipe was right up against the wall and the cap did not slip on correctly in the rear where there was no space between the pipe and the wall. I purchased this so that it can plug the pipe without having to slip over the pipe, but rather have it slip inside. The plug is solidly made, and I was able to plug the pipe by hand tightening the wing nut. This is a good design and very solid. The rubber expands when the wing nut is tightened, but the plug was able to slip in loosely when the wing nut was loose. This is a solid product and well made. I would only worry about the metal portions rusting if left in a moist or damp environment for a long period of time.

Gets the job done
Wing nut is cheap and breaks easily.

No More Sewer Gases
Though it took me two tries to get the right-sized plug (the first one was too large at 5"), this plug fits perfectly. Previously, unbeknownst to us, our laundry floor had a metal cover over an abandoned sewer line opening, but no plug. We were smelling sewer gases, so this plug took care of this problem.
