Everything I dreamt it to be. Perfection.
I had this knife in my cart for years. Glad I bought it finally. I have medium sized hands and the knife fits well. Enough room for another finger easily and then some. Handle is very very comfortable. Nicely rounded with no pressure points or hot spots. Very very comfortable. The handle is perfection in itself. Zero complaints. Nothing to pick on at all. The blade is very visibly full tang. The steel is very thick, why? Cuz this a real deal survival knife. It's made to do it all. It is literally made to take a beating. I would love to see one of these knives that are beat to shit. Cuz it would take ALOT. Like stuck in a jungle war type survival situation for years. In which this knife would still come out probably minimally damaged. This is a beast of a knife. Not too heavy for what it is. Edge grind is even and hair shaving sharp. My upper edge is sharpened. I've read that that is an option, for me it was not. It just came sharpened. Which I wanted it sharp anyway. I've read complaints about the sheath. I have none. I like it. I'd much rather this than a tight to the hip kydex sheath. Tops kydex sheaths usually annoy me cuz they are to close to the hip. This I like alot cuz it hangs away. Is not pressed up against my skin. Once again, it is very comfortable, in every way possible. I cannot imagine this knife getting a bad review. Bear Grylls (probably spelled incorrectly) would love this knife. Or John Rambo. Rambo would love this knife. I ran into extra money and bought this and the Tops Wild Pig Hunter at the same time. When they both came in at the same time...holy shit knife party heaven. Also the Wild Pig Hunter is a killer. Totally just made to stab and kill large mammals. Nice sheath too, all leather.

Well built field knife
I do love the feel of this knife, the curve of the handle and finger groove are great for my large hands. I ordered a Kydex sheath online to replace the nylon sheath, photo below. I may wrap the handle with paracord or put a small paracord lanyard on the handle. I think one of the two notches on the back of the blade are a wire cutter and the other is to grab the handle of pot that is in a fire.It is very sharp our of the box, probably as sharp as I need a knife this large to be, near razor sharp. The 1095 hc steel is a nice work horse blade steel nothing exotic. But this is not show piece, its a work tool. If I had to bug out with only one item, this would be the one.Had a chance to use it while camping this weekend and it performed just as expected. I see now why some people ordered the knife with a blunt edge on the back. I grabbed the back edge a few times forgetting it was sharp and almost cut myself. i may consider dulling that edge for safety. Unless you know for sure you want that extra edge sharp, order it with a blunt edge IMO.

It’s a classic
Tops have great knives - yes 1095 is cheap but there’s a hunk of steel in this thing. Designed by Andy Tran, this knife design is a decade old and the fact it’s still around says something. The sharpened swedge will be an issue if you are trying to baton, but it makes it very “stabby”. Having a strait edge makes it easier for me to sharpen than my SXB, so tends to be the one I grab first for that reason. (Tops has a great free sharpening program - I sent two knives in and they not only sharpened them, they cleaned them up - can’t say enough about their customer service). At this price, this is a steal.

Wicked!
Razor sharp, smart design. Chops, cuts and thrusts very well. Pry bar almost useless. Might suggest a blunt end as a hammer effect would be more useful. But still a very worthy tool for the wilderness and self defense.

Desert island knife
If I could only take one knife with me, this would be THE ONE.The blade is outstanding. Very impressed with the finish. The black river wash is NICE. Does not have the camo finish shown in the second picture. And does have the top/secondary edge. Not legal in some states. Extremely sharp out of the box.I was a little worried about the handle until I had it in my hand. It feels great in multiple grip positions. Did not bother my hand at all. Not even when chopping.... this knife can chop! The sheath is OK. Nothing special. Don’t like the velcro straps but it works and doesn’t change my opinion about the purchase.Would recommend to anyone interested. Phenomenal knife!

Always pleased with tops
Yep can never be disappointed with tops knives the fit and finish definitely surprise me with how slim handle is with the grips. Had to modify the other 1 have this one is perfectly fitted to my liking. Definitely gonna get more for future purchases

good design with flaws added
This is a good size knife not too small or big, good weight, grip on the handle, grind, perfect 1 tool survival option.....However, my issue is with whats on the spine.#1 a double edge. the designer said its for an extra cutting spot, but has anyone tried to use this so called "spare edge". because the handle is bent for a more comfortable grip holding it along the main edge, its a nightmare trying to hold the knife the other way around, you can't get a firm grip and the knife will fly away from you if you tried to chop on that side, also you can't use it as a Skinner without making a several back cuts, and Ive seen plenty of people accidentally cutting their fingers on their other hands cause they weren't mindful of the sharp spine.#3 the notch, there is no reason and i mean no reason to put a $10 tool on a $200 knife; my $20 Skinner knife already has a notch! one key trait people expect a "survival knife" to do is baton wood, well guess where they put the notch right were you would hit the knife with a log for batoning, and the sharp edge spine only makes batoning more difficult as it chews up your hammering log.if they would just make a thick spine all the way down to absorb the hits and the blows this knife would be the best "survival knife" IMO
