Q: How breathable is it? It looks like that would be an issue with kids

It honestly has plenty of breathing room, it's not tight around the hood part at all. It's comfortable. :)

Q: Is this costume hard for an older child (10 yo) to manage by themselves? (e.g. to go bathroom)

The zipper is in the back of the costume. My daughter who was 9 years old then said that she was able to unzip it herself. She did not need help by another student. I hope this is helpful.

I have no idea but I'd keep an eye out considering Halloween is right around the corner!

My child wears a 10 and the inseam is a little small. All other areas seem true to a 10/12.
