Highly recommended for the fantasy and dragon families
Very fun game for the whole family. There is a small bit of thinking/strategy to this one, but nothing over the top. My 7 year old daughter picked up the gameplay fairly easy.

Won't be outgrown quickly
After one round with an adult, my 7-year-old granddaughter and her friend were able to play this strategy game independently. A couple of rules aren't spelled out completely in the instructions. We created a work-around that may or may not have been correct, but the kids caught on really quickly and enjoyed the game immensely. A little pricey, but with excellent quality construction and four levels of challenge probably won't be worn out OR outgrown quickly.

Our family’s new favorite game!!
Our family loves this game!! It was super easy to learn, and tons of fun for our 3.5 year old and 6 year old boys (and actually pleasant & fun for us as the parents). You have a hand of cards that are your options for movement, and along the way you collect gems that you will use at the end to try to convince the dragon to come help you!A change we’ve made to help it be more “cooperative” is that we’ll stack 2+ of the dragons at the end, and our group needs to convince all of them to come with us (so everyone has a chance to use their gems and roll the dice at the end). For our younger son, we have to help him “strategize” a bit with his movement, but he’s starting to catch on quickly and loves each time we play.Love the artwork, and the box is nice and small so doesn’t take up a ton of space. Would highly recommend, and have already done so to many friends, haha!

Varied Scoring Makes This Repayable and Fun
This is a great game for our 7 year old. She enjoys that it can be a casual game with simple rules, or you can make scoring more difficult. Its straightforward design allows for some fun house rules that introduce even more complexity and gives the game more longevity that it may have on its own. If you're creative, this could be a winner for a long time. If you stick to the rules, it has a much shorter lifespan.

My kids love it!
It is fun, with just enough strategy for a 5 and 8 year old to both really enjoy it. You can pick a level of difficulty for your crowd, which is nice.

A big hit for my little evil genius
Just got for Christmas yesterday, and my kiddo loves it. Very easy to grasp the basics and then start strategizing. I love how these new games are so much more fun than the basic board games of my childhood. They’re actually fun for adults and I don’t have to “let him win”. I wish there were play options to make it cooperative, but I think I could figure one out. It’s a great very, very basic starter for D&D.

Excellent for building complexity with young ones!
While the overall premise of the game is is very simple (all of the rules fit on the front and back of one small sheet), the ability to add difficulty, complexity, and challenge are all there. This is the first game that my now 5 year old has truly needed no assistance in managing her own cards and turns and "strategy."It is a slower and more complex game than the likes of Candyland or Chutes and Ladders, and there is more ebb and flow back and forth amongst players. The "obstacle" penalties very smartly affect all other players, so there isn't really any possibility of ganging up on just one player unfairly. The balance of strategy and chance is a great one for kids in the 5-10 year old range.Very glad that we picked this game up and it will absolutely remain in rotation for game night.
