Gilly the Giraffe is amazing & just what I needed. It is beautifully illustrated with really loveable colourful and fun characters. The story is so heartwarming and opens up lots of conversations in a relaxed and playful way. But that’s just the start. The workbook is another level. It is much bigger and thicker than expected and it is filled with endless tips, tools, arts and crafts, & fun activities. There is something for all children, professionally and personally. And probably adults too! Having photographed examples and photocopiable worksheets makes it much more user-friendly. I especially love the tower of strengths and the positive patchwork activities. And we had a great time making our own Gilly using toilet rolls. I also really liked that there is a whole adult section at the back. It gave me much more confidence, understanding and ideas. The CBT and trouble shooting bit particularly stuck out. I’ve also seen via twitter that the cuddly toy of Gilly is coming soon and I can’t wait to get her to bring the book even more alive.

I've seen Dr Triesman present with my work, and I love her style and explanation of development.I bought this for my daughter as she struggles with anxiety and confidence. It also helps that her favourite animal is a giraffe! When it arrived my daughter told me that she'd been working through the story and some activities with the mentor at school already! Perfect!She loves the story and variety of activities - as do I. Lots to choose from with different ideas to try out. Looking forward to being able to buy Gilly the toy when it becomes available.

I used this with a child with very low self-esteem. It was perfectly pitched and helped to frame a therapeutic discussion afterwards. Resources after the main story were excellent and highly pragmatic/applicable and has meant the work has been continued by other supportive members of the child's wider system between sessions.Thank you for taking the time to create this excellent resource. A true gift to clinicians with beautiful illustrations also.
